So you are asking how you can help......

There are so many ways!!  You can do anything from donating an afternoon of your time to visit with the dogs, pet a cat or even donate your clean, crushed aluminum cans.   We and the animals SINCERELY THANK YOU in advance!

Food Donations:

In an effort to insure that the animals at the shelter stay healthy we will be feeding only Purina food.  Our shelter guests are having intestinal and digestive problems due to being fed a mixture of foods.  The shelter can be a very stressful environment for the animals and we want to do everything we can to maintain their health.

The Purina company has agreed to sell us the food at a very special price, costing less than most low-end foods.  This food is of high quality and very digestible and palatable.  The food will always be fresh and it will save you the trouble of buying and delivering the food.  If you would like to help feed the animals please make a donation to our new "Food Fund."

Please send checks (made payable to LHS) for the "Food Fund" to:

Volunteers need to be sixteen years of age unless accompanied by a parent.  What a great way to spend time with your child!

If you need High School Community Service Hours- we ask that you do them within a 6 month time period.  These hours are to be the shelter cleaning hours between 8-12 am.  Just have a staff member initial each time you volunteer.   At the end of your commitment, remove your application and put it in the basket on the front desk.  If you need a form signed, attach it to your application.  If you have any questions please contact the shelter at 920-684-5401 and ask for Jenny.   Thank you.
