All Boulder the Bulldog Wants for Christmas...2011 has been a tough but rewarding year for Shelter from the Storm. Due to the tough economic times many of the animals that came the rescue were need of major medical care. But Thanks to the support of all of our friends like you we were able to give them another chance.
ALL BOULDER WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS...
Boulder is a young English Bulldog that came into the rescue this past summer. What a neat dog he turned out to be; full of personality and spunk! Unfortunately, Boulder was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition, Pulmonic Stenosis. Basically what this means is Boulders heart isn't working enough to get blood to the lungs like it should.
Although Boulder already has a heart of gold, he needs our helpt to fix it and make shine again. The procedure he needs is done only at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School in the their cardiology department. During this wait Boulder has not been able to play or have too much fun because his heart cannot keep up.
Until his heart is fixed Boulder risks serious complications including heart failure and worse yet, sudden death.
To restore that sparkle to Boulder's heart we need to raise a little over $3,000. Please help us give Boulder what is so deserves, a chance at new life with A SHINING NEW HEART!
Welcome to Shelter From The Storm Animal Rescue, Inc., all breed cat and dog rescue based in Madison, Wisconsin. We also operate a Spay Me! clinic, a high quality, high volume, low cost spay neuter clinic. Our goal is to reduce euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals and to provide affordable veterinary care. Shelter From The Storm Animal Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization.
We are largely a foster home based rescue, but some animals are housed at our shelter. Our shelter is not open to the public, but our adoptable animals can be seen online or at our adoption clinics, which are held every Saturday from 10am - 2pm at PetSmart , 2216 E. Springs Drive, Madison.
Donated items can be dropped off at Petsmart East (click here for a map) on Saturdays during our adoption clinic between 10AM and 2PM. Donations may be mailed to:
