Little 6 pound "Lucy" was found as a
stray on August 6, 2009 by local residents who contacted us for help. Lucy
was treated for fleas, demodectic mange and ulcerated eyes. She was put on
mange medication, Rimadyl for pain, and Ofloxacin Opthalmic for her eyes.
She was heartworm negative, was put on Heartguard preventative, and began
receiving vaccinations. After 3 months of loving care by her new foster
home, Lucy was adopted by Don & Lana who recently sent an email
'announcing' their new family member:
"Don and Lana are proud to announce the arrival of their new little girl Lucy! She can't wait to meet you all. What a joy she is as our hearts were broken when we lost our Sweet Luke. We think he would have loved her too." |

Patches
Thank you so much Annette! We totally adore Patches! His transition into our family was seamless. He has his first vet appointment today and we start obedience training on Sunday, although he's been just about a perfect dog so far. He's just about used to our house. The only place he won't go is the basement. I just can't express what a Godsend that Patches has been to us and I thank you again for everything. - Kiani |

We had a great first day!! We just sat around and watched the Tech game.
But the dogs both just hung out and we took them out every now and then
(in the pouring down rain) and neither minded. They play great together
and now never leave each others side! I attached some pictures from our
first day with puppies that I took on my phone. We also had no accidents
the first day, however the second day we went to wal-mart to get a few
things and had an accident but thats the only one. He is doing a great
job and loves being outside in the yard with Rusti.
Thanks again for allowing us to adopt him. I think he fits well in our family! - Kari & Michael

"Katie seems to be adapting well to her new home. She and I wake up early every morning to go for a run. The kids have enjoyed sharing some of the dog duties (we went out for a family walk last night and the girls were arguing over who got to scoop the poop - wonder how long that will last). And I think she and Thomas (our Siamese cat) are starting to meet - Thomas scurried down to the basement when we first got home with Katie on Saturday. Thomas showed an interest in coming upstairs today, so he's hiding underneath a bed somewhere slowly taking in our new family member. Thanks again for all the loving care you guys gave Katie. She's quite a gem." Best- Brenna |
