Local Girl has Birthday Party to Benefit the Animals
Alaina
loves animals. She had been thinking about what she could do to help the
homeless animals in Bedford County. When her parents decided to have a
birthday party in her honor, Alaina knew she'd found a way. Rather than
having her guests bring presents for her, she asked that they bring presents
for the animals.
Thank you, Alaina, for your generous donation ! |

Help the environment & the animals too -
Organize a cell phone drive !
Check with your parents first, to make sure
it's ok,
then collect old cell phones from your friends and family.
Click on the link above
to print a shipping label
for the cell phones you collect.
THANKS! |

Local
Girls Support BHS....
Maria Navolio, Riley and Claire Lee, and Malory Harding recently
presented BHS with checks totaling $608.84, and donations of food, treats,
collar and leash, bleach, old towels and a big raw hide for Sadie
(center). (Sadie LOVES kids and is available for adoption!).
Maria, eight years old, got up one morning a told her Mom she wanted to
collect some money for the homeless animals and she wanted it to go to a
no-kill shelter. Maria then got her friends involved. They started out
with a lemonade-type stand in front of her house then branched out from
there. They went door to door in their own neighborhood, to Sam's Club,
and to the Pet & Aquatic Warehouse. One of the checks is from the Pet
& Aquatic Warehouse for $126.87 which matches the amount the girls
collected in front of their store.
Many thanks to these wonderful girls for their support of homeless
animals! |
