Our first puppy transport!  - On Friday morning, Nov 6th, ten homeless foster puppies climbed aboard a Pawsafe transport van near Lynchburg, headed for new lives in the Connecticut area.  Best wishes to Paige, Levi, Zack, Melody, Missy, Abby, Max, Molly, Rosey and Haley.  We love you and hope you have many happy years in your new homes.  Donations of high quality Puppy food are very much needed to care for more pups as they are prepared for the transports.

Kongs for Shelter Dogs:

Kongs are great, long lasting dog toys.  They can be stuffed with tasty treats to help a homeless dog keep busy while awaiting an adopter.  They can be sterilized and used again & again, dog after dog.  We are soliciting donations of LARGE or X-LARGE  Kong toys, like the one pictured, for the dogs at the Bedford County shelter. These dogs spend days, sometimes weeks, in their kennels with nothing to do but stare at the walls. Because of the potential for the spread of diseases, the state veterinarian has very strict rules about what sort of toys these dogs can have, and Kongs meet the requirements.  Please drop off your Kong donations at our headquarters at 829 Ole Turnpike Drive, or at the County shelter at 1307 Falling Creek Road, Bedford. Let's give the shelter dogs something to play with!

And the animals too. Please save your empty inkjet,
laser, copier & fax cartridges, & used cell phones.
We can turn them into cash for the animals !
Just drop off them off at our office
at 829 Ole Turnpike Drive
in Bedford.
