Rascal Dear Linda, I wanted to let you know what a wonderful addition Bernie has been to our family. I am so grateful to you for safe housing him! I gave him a new name, "Rascal", and he learned it right away. Rascal is very affectionate. He loves to ride in the front seat of the car so he can see everything and get petted at stoplights. Last weekend, he went to the groomer and had a bath. (He behaved perfectly!) He was beautiful before, but now he's soft and shiny too! I have attached some pictures so you can see for yourself how gorgeous he is. As you will see in the pictures, he is getting along well with Vandal and has started to sleep on the bed that I bought him.
I know many people prefer to adopt younger dogs, but let me encourage everyone to consider an older dog. Rascal (6 or 7 years old) already has the manners (such as housebreaking) that are such hard work to teach a puppy--and he bonded with me just like a younger dog would have. In fact, I think he bonded even sooner, because he had enough experience to recognize a good thing when he saw it! Rascal has added a lot of joy to our house. I am so glad I found him—and that you rescued him for us. Thank you for all the good work you do! Best Regards,
