Maggie

Dear Debbie (Maggie's foster MOM),
Thanks again for selecting us to adopt Maggie. She has brought so much joy to our family!

Maggie is truely a wonderful puppy (now 8 months old). She has so many unique qualities. Some of her favorite things to do are take walks, play with other doggy friends (Sadie/golden retriever mix) is her favorite. She just lives a few houses down from us, play in the river, hiking, and mostly just being with us.

I don't think Maggie has ever met a stranger. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. Our 13 year old persian cat (Ashley) is not too sure what to think of Maggie. She hisses at Maggie when she gets too close and Maggie just wags her tail and keeps coming back for more. They kitty has a door to the basement. Maggie likes to look through the flap.
I enjoy taking early morning walks. Maggie walks with me every day from 5:00-5:30 am. She is always so happy to get out and walk. My family enjoys hiking and she is very happy to get to come along.
Maggie is so expressive. She knows how to get her point across. She is very smart. She usually gets
what she wants just by oursmarting us. I have never seen a dog (puppy this young that is so smart). She has learned so many word commands. For example, all we have to do is say "rope", and she will run and get her rope.It is a chew toy, but she will nudge you with it to get you to throw it for her.
Our ten year old daughter plays all kinds of games with her.
We would like to thank everyone that works for Hickory Hill. Our foster MOM (Debbie Haynes) did a wonderful job with Avalon and her pups. We were very impressed at how much time and effort is put into finding good homes for these animals.

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOU DO. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR MAGGIE!!!
