DaisyDear Linda,I adopted Daisy (Copper) from you back in June and I couldn't be happier to have her. She is so sweet and wonderful and everyday, I can't wait to get home to be greeted by her, jumping all over me with her tail wagging. I think she is very happy in her new home. I have a little back yard that she loves to zoom around in. Her favorite thing is to creep around on the back porch with the door open, so when she sees a squirrel looking for food, she can run out and chase it up the tree. Daisy and I love going to the dog park nearby my house, where she truly is the "life of the party"! She is such a little instigator and loves to get everyone running around. She'll carry a little stick in her mouth and taunt the big dogs with it until they chase her around, which eventually gets the entire group of dogs all running around after each other. Then, when we go home and she is tired, she loves to curl up under the covers between my legs (everyone thinks its so strange! I think it's cozy!). Also, we just started obedience classes last week, which I think is more like a fun outing to Daisy, than an actual class. She loves to sniff around at the other dogs and try to get them to play with her, while they should all be paying attention to learning how to sit and stay. Despite the few pairs of shoes of mine, and 1 chair, that she has destroyed already, I still love her so much and have complete faith that after a few more obedience classes, she'll be much better at behaving (and I will have learned more about how better to train and handle her). Daisy has brought so much happiness to my life in the short time that I've had her. I honestly can't imagine my life now without her. No matter how tough my day is at work, or if I'm in a fight with a friend, I always know I can go home to unconditional love from my sweet, little Daisy.Thank you so much for everything you do for these dogs, and the families whose lives they touch. Thanks,Jamie |
