Hope's story is sad beyond words ... Hope is a very old Chihuahua who is heartworm positive and needs some very serious dental work in order to save her life. Her need is URGENT, the Vet feels without immediate treatment Hope may abscess causing serious problems and possibly her death.

Hope's story is so sad, her elderly owner passed away, and Hope and her life long mate were taken to the pound. Her lifelong mate was evaluated as a serious fear biter and was PTS. Hope was left in a cage at the pound alone, first losing her owner and now her life-long friend. The shelter worker showed her to me and said she will never be adopted. My heart melted. I knew it was gonna be hard but I took her home. Hope is an absolute love and doesn't have a vicious bone in her body. She loves to cuddle, and has obviously been spoiled. She will not eat dog food, people food only, so we pump her up with pet tonic.

Please can you find it in your hearts to make this sweet little lady's remaining days here on earth happy and loved. She has lost everything she has ever known, and deserves to spend her twilight years in peace and comfort. We will post updates of her progress, so be sure to check back. Hope has had all of her dental work and is resting comfortably in her new home. I wish all of the stories would work out this well. Hi everyone,

Hope has had her heartworm treatment and is resting comfortably. Donations are still needed as she needs a lot of dental work, if her teeth abscess then she could really get sick. The heartworm treatment makes them kind of weak so we can't have any infections. Once Hope gets her teeth fixed and is spayed she will be set for her new life here in Texas.
