UVHS VOLUNTEERS
MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
NOT ONLY WITH OUR FURRY FRIENDS BUT WITH EACH OTHER AND THE COMMUNITY.
Be sure to visit our events page for pictures from our past events. Without our wonderful volunteers these events and adoptions would not have been possible!

The orientation is designed to keep you informed, safe, and increase your skills in handling animals. The volunteer orientation is strongly recommended if you want to make the most of your volunteer experience. The orientation will be less than an hour long and there will be snacks and drinks. Be sure to join us at our next Orientation on Saturday, December 16, at 11:00AM. Hope to see you there. |
Alternating Saturdays & Sundays, Check Events Page for scheduled times. Email uvhsvolunteer s@aol.com |
We need your time and talents.
Where: UVHS Shelter When: TBA What: Attach fence pickets to fence frame & maybe do some planting. No carpentry skills required...if you have a cordless drill and/or screwdriver, please bring it along. Our priority is to install the fence pickets, but if we have enough volunteers, we would also like to plant a few shrubs and trees.

Foster Families Always Needed!! Due largely in part to the Upper Valley Humane Society’s new Medical Care Fund and several caring foster families, more and more animals are getting a second chance at a long life in a loving home. Recently, Melissa Salazar and Lee Espinoza made a huge difference in the lives of 2 puppies, Sassy and Raven, and their mother Holly by nursing them back to health. Occasionally, animals enter the doors of The Upper Valley Humane Society with minor, but highly treatable conditions. If you would like to make a difference in the life of a pet by fostering, call the Upper Valley Humane Society today. Thank you Melissa & Lee for your support! |

Spay/Neuter Education Program We are looking for volunteers interested in helping us develop an education progam that can be used by teachers at various levels to educate their students about the importance of spay/neuter. Humane Education can encompass a wide variety of topics and issues, but we will start with the basics. Our goal is to put together a list of resources and an easy to use notebook or packet of information that contains educational handouts and projects, so it can be easily used by teachers at various grade levels, or volunteers who can come and speak in the classroom. We are looking for teachers at various grade levels. and any volunteers who have creative ideas! Please email uvhsvolunteers@aol.com if you are interested in participating and we will schedule an introductory meeting in a few weeks. 2/7/06 |
