Helping People Help Animals
Our mission is to assist in the rescue, rehabilitation, foster care and adoption of homeless and/or unwanted cats and dogs, and to assist, encourage, and promote sterilization of these pets so as to help limit the surplus animal population. We are a group of foster parents who rescue and care for stray and abandoned pets until an appropriate forever home can be found, and we strive to educate the public on responsible pet care. Our goal is echoed by many - "No more homeless pets."

Your donation would make us forever "grateful".

If you would like to meet some of our dogs and cats for adoption, we will be doing adoptions at the PetSmart on DeZavala on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.

About Us

We are an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization who provides temporary foster care for stray/abandoned cats and dogs. All animals receive appropriate medical care, including necessary vaccinations and sterilization. Many of the animals that come to us are injured, malnurished, or ill and in need of expensive medical care. All animals are treated regardless of price, and cared for in a loving foster home until healthy enough to be adopted. We feel that animals in foster homes do better when placed in new homes than animals coming right out of a shelter, because of the extra care and attention they get in a foster home. Our dogs get basic obedience training, potty training, and crate training to help with a smooth transition into a new home.
Prospective owners are screened carefully in attempts to appropriately match owner with pet companion and ensure a safe, loving forever home.

Since we do not have a shelter, we often welcome people to join us with their rescued animals on adoption days to assist in finding their animals loving homes.
We also assist people in finding resources to get their pets spayed & neutered at lower costs.
We inform and often assist in the TNR program (trap, neuter, release) for feral cats.
We offer free advice on general dog & cat care.

You can help the homeless pet population by doing the following and spreading the word:

#1 Do not buy puppies from pet stores. These puppies come from puppy mills and buying these animals continues their business. Reputable breeders never sell their puppies in pet stores. Many wonderful animals, including purebreds, can be found at local shelters and rescue groups. There is a rescue group for every breed of dog - we can help you find one.

#2 Help feral cat populations by feeding them and contacting a local animal rescue group to help get the cats fixed. Read more about feral cats at http://www.alleycat.org.

#3 Help stray cats/dogs by NOT calling the pound. Most animals picked up by animal control will be put down. Instead, take in the stray animal, if possible, and contact a rescue organization for help.

#4 Educate yourself on pet care/health by visiting the national Humane Society website (www.hsus.org).
