IMMINENT DANGER GERMAN SHEPHERD RESCUE
ADOPTION POLICIES

Please read the terms below and proceed to complete the questionnaire if you agree to abide by our Adoption Policies.

Your answers will permit us to more effectively match your needs with a dog in our program.

Please fill out your application completely.  We need to know as much about you as possible so we can make sure that you and your prospective new furry family member are well suited.  The information you provide on your application will help us determine the best possible match for both dog and adoptive family.

  • If you do not fill out the application in FULL, or are not 100% truthful, your application will be discarded without further notice. If a question does not apply to you, fill in the blank with "Not Applicable" or "N/A".
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • Our volunteers/foster moms and dads work full time, have families, have pets, and a lives of their own, so please be patient.  We will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • We require that all animals in the prospective adoptive family be spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention. We feel that "responsible" pet owners fit in this category.

  • We prefer homes with fenced yards. While this is not necessarily a strict requirement, it is a serious consideration when we are processing applications. If you meet all of our other criteria, but don't have a fenced yard, we will process your application to see if we may still have a match for your family. You must have a plan in place for exercise/potty needs of the adopted dog.
  • If you are going on vacation soon, or do not know where you will be living in two years, NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO ADOPT.  Please get settled and then apply.
  • Keep in mind: Rescue dogs need and deserve your patience. Whether it be house training, getting along with the other pets or just settling in...be prepared.  They will need time to adjust to your home and family.
