Programs & Services
Action For Animals Humane Society provides Westmoreland County with a full range of programs and services designed to improve the quality of animals' lives, match people and pets, help control pet overpopulation and prevent animal cruelty/neglect.
Adoption
AFA rescues and finds homes for around 1,000 animals every year. We take great care to ensure these wonderful
animals are adopted into responsible homes. Learn more about our Adoption Program
Low Cost Spay/Neuter
To help stop the tragedy of pet overpopulation, we spay or neuter all the animals at our shelter. We
also offer low cost spay/neuter services to low income families. Learn more about Low Cost Spay/Neuter Services
Animal Abuse/Neglect
Cruelty and neglect of animals is not only inhumane, it is illegal. We work with many area law enforcement
agencies and other animal welfare organizations to make sure all cruelty and neglect reports are investigated and the laws
are being enforced. Learn more about Animal Abuse/Neglect
Lost and Found
AFA has reunited many lost and found pets with their owners throughout the County. We also provide information
on what you can do to help find your lost or found pet. Learn more about Lost and Found Pets
