Pocono Pet Rescue is a network of dedicated volunteers, working together through the Internet,to help displaced pets in the Pocono Mountains region, through fostering, adoption and education. Our goal is too provide needy animals with good homes. Through a careful and thorough screening and selection process we strive to place each pet with the family best suited to their needs. We do not have a shelter and rely on volunteers to foster the pets in their own homes. While these pets are in foster homes they live as part of the family. This helps us to determine the personality of the pet to better help us place them. We work with local merchants to hold adoption days to help place the pets. If someone is interested in adoption we bring the pet to their home to meet. We do not have a shelter so this process works best while allowing us to do a home visit to be sure to pet is going into a good environment.
