Halloween Photo Contest Winners Announced

Bradford County Humane Society announces the winners of their 2007 Halloween Photo Contest are in. Our photo contest judge this year is free-lance photographer Ed Boardman. In addition to being a recognized photographer with the Daily/ Sunday Review for 14 years, Ed has won statewide awards for photojournalism and has judged the Bradford County Library photo contest off an on for a number of years.


1st place: Doolin "I was framed, I tell ya ..."

Doolin is one of our Happy Endings stories. Doolin was adopted August 5th, 2006 from Bradford County Humane Society and now competes in national agility competitions and has won several ribbons. Doolins owner/mom is Denise Corley of New Hampshire. Denise requested that her $50.00 prize be donated to the shelter. Thank you Denise!! 2nd place: Rory "A Scarier Terrier"

Rory is an 11 year old female, Irish Terrier from Sayre. She is an AKC champion and a registered therapy dog. Rory has also received her Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Offered by AKC and Endless Mountains Dog Obedience Club, the Canine Good Citizen program rewards dogs who display good manners in their home and community. Any dog who passes the 10-step test may receive this certificate from the American Kennel Club. Rory is also has 7 year old daughter at home, Irish Terrier Dare . The owner of Rory and Dare is Nancy Hutter from Sayre, PA. Nancy is a member of Endless Mountains Obedience Club.
