Bradford County Humane Society has launched their 2007 membership renewal drive. For over 32 years the community has supported BCHS in their mission to "alleviate or prevent pain and suffering among animals and to promote the humane treatment of all living things." The shelter will continue in these efforts backed by your memberships and donations.
If you have never been a BCHS member and would like to actively support this cause, please send a check for $10 or more to BCHS, PO Box 179, Ulster, PA. Notate that the amount is for membership dues. Members of BCHS will receive an annual newsletter and the shelter pets will receive a translation of your donation into TLC - where they need it most. Thank you for caring. Click here for a membership form to print and mail in.
The Bradford County Humane Society is now listed in a double-donation program with Pedigree dog foods. Animal supporters can donate quality dog food to the Ulster animal shelter without leaving home! Best of all, your donation is doubled. Pedigree will match your purchase of 22-lb bags by sending double the amount ordered directly to the shelter you indicate by location (Ulster, PA). All you do is go to www.dogsrulegear.com and enter the number of bags you wish to purchase for the Ulster shelter. One bag, at a cost of $9.99, contains enough food to feed one of our dogs for a month or 44 dogs for one day. What a great opportunity to help us, help them!

Please bring us your aluminum cans and nickel deposit bottles and we will recycle them to raise money for the shelter.
Reminder: We can only accept beverage containers!
You can help BCHS and your environment by recycling your old ink cartridges and cell phones. By recycling these items you are helping eliminate waste filling up our landfills.
Over 300 million empty printer cartridges are generated in North America every year. That's 900,000,000 pounds of waste that potentially goes into landfills every year!
An added bonus: Greentec will donate one tree to either Tree Canada Foundation or American Forests for every 12 qualifying cartridges or cell phones.
Drop off your old ink or cell phones at BCHS, collection bin located in fron office. Feel good knowing you are helping your environment!

Our Memorial Garden was planted in 2000 by shelter volunteers. It is still under construction, but we are very proud of what we have accomplished we hope you will come to see it. It is a pleasant place to pause and remember our own pets who have passed away and also to reflect on the animals who have lost their lives at the shelter due to animal overpopulation and irresponsible pet owners who do not spay or neuter their pets.
Information about purchase of several styles of memorials is available at the shelter.
Memorial bricks can be ordered by printing and returning this
form.
This is a great way to memorialize your
pet and to help raise money for the shelter.
We collect proof of purchase labels from pet foods that have fundraiser redemption programs. This includes Dad's "Have a Heart" Program. Proof of purchase coupons can be dropped off at the shelter or mailed to us at: BCHS, PO Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850.
