After spending the better
part of our lives with our Siberian Huskies, and coming to better
understand the workings of their hierarchy, and some of the behaviors
associated with it, we began to take in "Sibes" from
Humane Societies, shelters, and from owners who for various reasons
could no longer care for their dogs.
After assessing each of the dogs for
temperament and behavior issues, we begin to work with them on
correcting or modifying any unacceptable or aggressive behavior.
Through all aspects of behavior, we find that 90% of behavior
problems result from "Lack of", or "Improper"
handling by Humans. It is of the utmost importance to research
this, (any), breed prior to choosing it as a companion. It takes
a certain personality or character to fully understand the workings
of this breed and to achieve a balance.
When we feel the dog has reached a reasonable
level of basic training, we begin the search for their new "Forever
Home". Our goal is to place these dogs in the "Right
Home" the first time, as this serves to greatly reduce the
stress on both the dog and the adopter. Our adoption process may
seem a little "Time Consuming", but please keep in mind,
that these animals have been through enough. It is up to "us"
to provide the sense of security and safety they deserve!
On behalf of the Dogs.......
We Thank You!!
