Knuckles when he arrived at LFFR Knuckles with his new dad, Benoit

6-5-06: Today Knuckles is on his way to his forever home with Benoit from Forest Hills NY. He will later be greeted by his new mom Yvonne who is very excited to come home and meet her new furbaby. Knuckles will also be greeted by their 2 cats whom he will share his new home with. Knuckles started his life with horrible abuse from his prior owners, but he will now have nothing but warmth and love in his future, never again to know what it is to be mistreated.

Pixie on her 1st day at LFFR Pixie with her new Mom, Margaret

Pixie has packed her bags and is on her way to Brooklyn with her new Mom. She will be greeted by her two little Pom friends where she will be one spoiled little girl. Margaret is a most excellent home and is very saavy to the needs of a small Pomeranian. Pixie and LFFR are lucky to have found such an experienced and responsible home to allow our little Pixie to finish out her golden years. We are so happy that another special adopter has opened their heart to taking on a senior dog...Thank you Margaret!
Hershey when he arrived at LFFR Hershey with his new mom, Linda Wally in sad shape when he arrived at LFFR Wally with his new mom, Linda after receiving TLC in our rescue

Here's proof that there really are true heroes in the world! Linda adopted our senior Shih Tzu mix Wally and a few weeks later she came back to adopt another LFFR senior ShihTzu, Hershey! Linda has found that saving a senior dog is the most gratifying feeling a person can experience. We hope she will serve as an inspiration for others who have contemplated adopting an older dog or one with special needs. We cannot thank Linda enough for giving these older dogs a second chance at having the love they so much deserve.
