News
We are constantly in search of new homes for all our wonderful
pets, both cats and dogs. The Internet has given these unfortunate and abandoned
animals a new lease or "leash" on life.
Who We Are
We are the Yonkers Animal Shelter, located at 120 Fullerton
Avenue in Yonkers, New York. We are a municipal shelter run by the City of Yonkers.
We are open daily Monday through Friday 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Saturday, Sunday
and Holidays from 12:00 noon to 3:30 PM. The adoption fees are CASH ONLY.
Adopting a Friend
We are interested in finding permanent homes for all of our
pets. These animals are asking for a chance to show you their affection and
love. If you are interested in a pet please give our animals a chance. All animals
will be spayed/neutered through the adoption fee. This will insure a healthy
and contented animal.
Volunteering and Donations
We accept some volunteers in the mornings to help us clean
and water our pets. Donations are always welcomed at the shelter. We accept
old towels, blankets, dog and cat food, canned and dry. We also participate
in the Heinz Homeless Pet Program and would appreciate any redemption symbols.
They can be sent to the shelter % Yonkers Parks Dept.,285 Nepperhan Ave., Yonkers,
NY 10701.
