Lady's Story
“Lady” was a puppy mill mommy who was slated to die the day she was pulled from the pound. She lived in a crate all her life, was starved and abused and didn’t even have a name. I got this precious baby on February 9, 2005. She would hide in the corner of the crate and would not look at anyone. She messed her bed all the time. In the last 4 months she took over the landing as “hers” but now wants to be with her new family wherever we are. She looks at me and wags her tail and follows me from room to room. She hasn’t messed her bed in over a month and knows that the puppy pads are for her. I’m still working on getting 100% of her trust so I can touch her and put a collar on her to take her outside. That will be an entire new world to her. Her little feet have never run in the grass or chased a squirrel. So far she is a happy little girl and hopefully will be getting braver and happier each day. Karen (Lady's Mom) |
