Transport is a growing trend in Small Animal Rescue, many dogs & cats that would normally be put to sleep make it to safety by going to limited admission Shelters and Rescue groups throughout out
the USA by the help of Transport volunteers. The animals are relayed from point to point by volunteers willing to drive 1-2 or more hours. They meet another
volunteer and hand the dog or cat over for the next leg of the transport. The majority of these transports happen on the weekend
since most rescuers hold down full time jobs as well. Volunteers are always needed if you would like to volunteer you may do so by joining some of the rescue
transport lists on Yahoogroups. Please keep in mind that many lists do screen new members, to protect the safety of the animals being transported.
