Bathing
and grooming the animals.
To help the animals put their best paw forward
for adoption clinics, a good bath and brushing go a long way. You don't
need to be a dog groomer for this one. Just have a love of animals,
and don't mind getting a little wet.
Construction
help.
This does not mean you need to know how to build
a house. We always need people for small construction projects—from
putting up chain link fencing to to building temporary pens for special
events.
Sewing.
If you like to sew, we always have projects we
could use help with—from sewing table coverings for special events
to bandannas and coats for the animals at adoption clinics.
Gardening.
We need help maintaining the grounds. If you would
like to help keep the facility looking its best, please join us. Watering
and general landscape projects.
OK, so what do I do next?
Come to the Ranch for a one-hour orientation,
any Saturday at Noon. If you're 15 or older, you don't need a parent to stay with you while volunteering.
See the "Contact Us" page for directions. PLEASE don't drive to our mailing address - that's about 8 miles from the ranch. The directions on the Contact Us page are the ONLY way to get there.
It's handy if you complete the form for volunteers (the same form is used for community service)
and bring it with you to orientation (no need to mail or fax). It's not made to complete while on your computer, please print then complete with a pen:

After attending an orientation, volunteers are welcome seven days a week between 9AM and 4PM - no need to call ahead. If you find the "closed" chains up at the entrance (before 10AM and all day Mon & Tue), please lower a chain, come in, and put the chain back up.
Thank you very much for your interest in helping us, to help the animals.
