The Rescue Dog Print

This beautiful print is the perfect decorative piece for any animal lover's home. A print of a painting done by Sid Torchio, a popular artist, this work of art is only $25 (it does not come with the frame). Beneath the print is an original poem. If interested in purchasing a print, please stop by the shelter soon. 

Nutro Food Sale

We Sell Nutro Dog/Cat & Puppy/Kitten food at the Almost Home Animal Shelter. Prices range from $20 to $30 per bag at a price that is less than you would pay at a pet store. For more information, call the shelter at 856-663-3058.

Frustration Barriers

We are in need of a few carpenters, or people who enjoy working with wood, to help us with a very special project. Being an animal in a shelter can be very stressful, what with all the movement, barking, other animals walking by, etc. In order to help reduce stress levels, and have a calmer environment, we would like to install Frustration Barriers in our shelter. Click here to see a picture of the frustration barriers. We need quite a few people to help us make these barriers. After they are made, we would like to have art classes from schools in our 6 Towns (Audubon, Audubon Park, Gloucester City, Merchantville, Pennsauken, and Woodlynne) paint these barriers with animal/pet related themes, as can be seen in the picture. These barriers are 8 feet tall and 4 and a half feet high on rollers. The cost of the supplies is approximately $50. 

In order for this project to work, it will require a lot of involvement from our community. We will need people with many different skills to help us. We will need people who are good with wood to help us. We will need teachers and students who enjoy art to help us. We will need monetary donations to help us afford the supplies, which means we need you to help us collect money. Gift Baskets

We have a few gift baskets for sale at our shelter that range from $6 to $10. These baskets are filled with dog and cat food/treats/toys and are the perfect present for your furry friend. 

Moorestown PetsMart

We have a few of our cats up for adoption at the Moorestown PetsMart, so if you are looking to adopt a new feline friend, don't forget to visit our other kitties at the Moorestown PetsMart!

Cartridge Recycling Program

We currently have a long term, ongoing project for Recycling Cartridges. We are requesting everyone to save their empty printer (inkjet/laser), fax and multi-function cartridges (all-in-one printers), as well as laser printer fuser cores.  They take all brands such as  Apple, Brother, Cannon, HP, Lexmark, Pitney Bowes, Panasonic, Samsung and Dell. Our shelter will have a box set up in our lobby area where people can drop them off to us. For for cartridge donated to our shelter, we can recycle them and receive a monetary donation in return from the recycling company. So please drop off your cartridges soon.
