Good Time
Canines & children of all ages from
the community are encouraged to share their birthday with the
homeless pets awaiting adoption at the CCSPCA. While enjoying an
afternoon filled with games, food and friends they’ll also learn the
importance of the SPCA in our community. Throughout the afternoon
those in attendance at the party will learn about being a
responsible pet owner, being safe around animals, pet
overpopulation, and about how they can play a large part in changing
the future for homeless animals. Bringing awareness to the plight of
abused, neglected, and homeless animals in our community.
The
Purr-fect
Place
Parties will
be held in our spacious conference room and can be customized to
meet the needs and ages of the party-goers. We encourage you to
bring whatever decorations you would like to use. Meet & greets with
a few of the animals looking for a new home will bring smiles to
faces of everyone. Games for all ages are available and can be ready
and waiting for your group when you arrive. When the party’s done,
you simply leave the building with the good memories, gifts and
photo souvenirs commemorating your party. Leave the clean up of the
party to the staff at the shelter — what could be easier than that?
Celebration of Charity
The concept
of hosting birthday parties at the shelter was initiated by several
children and one dog that asked guests to bring items needed by the
shelter rather than personal gifts. Children, like animals, seem to
have a keen understanding of the importance of family and great
compassion for those who are less fortunate.
Children and
animals have one very important thing in common; they both depend on
responsible adults to nurture, love, and provide for them. The ASPCA
was actually founded in 1892 as the Society to Protect Animals, and
was actually responsible for the first case involving a person being
prosecuted for cruelty to a child, spawning the agency of the
Society to Protect Children. Both agencies have been pivotal in
constructing & enforcing laws to protect the welfare of both
children and animals. As you can see, our commitment to kids goes
way back.
Hosting
birthday parties gives us the opportunity to offer children and
adults humane education in a fun new way. Parties also allow us to
take a wonderful idea started by children on their own and run with
it — the idea that even though they may be small, they can make a
difference in the lives of animals.

How Do I Schedule a Party?
Parties are held
on Saturdays from 12 noon until 3pm. You will need to contact the SPCA party planners
at the number above, and any questions you may have will
be discussed at length and resolved to the best of our abilities.
Dates may be discussed and eliminated if we are already booked. A
date may be planned tentatively, however due to limited
availability, the first person to book a date and place a $50
deposit (cash or credit only) will be guaranteed the date,

**For
safety reasons, children under the age of 5 years are not allowed to
tour the facility. Additionally, with children under the age of 5
years there must be a 3:1 youngster to adult ratio, meaning that 5
adults must be present throughout the party. One staff member is
allotted per party, meaning that the birthday child’s parent and
three other parents must be present during the party.

We
hope to offer you the party that you want to have. In order to do
so, we have decided to offer services separately so that you may mix
and match the services you wish us to provide for your celebration.

A $50 deposit
required to hold any date. Deposit is not refundable. Remaining
balance due the day of the party. All payments must be made in the
form of cash or credit card, no personal checks will be accepted, we
apologize for any inconvenience.

Decorations, cake, ice cream and other items not listed as included
are not part of the SPCA Birthday Party package. If you have any
questions regarding items provided, or if you have a special request
regarding your party please discuss them with your party planner. We
cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your needs, but
we will make every effort to work with you.
