Jovial Joey is amazing. Even my husband, an experienced "foster parent", is in awe of him. We have been fostering Joey for a few months now. In spite of an old spinal injury that causes him to limp in a wobbily way, he traverses our large backyard, alternately rolling in the warm grass and "guarding" the borders. Joey can even climb up two steps to get into the kitchen, unless he's been chasing the other dogs around... then he is content to wait for one of us to pick him up. When we do, he leans against us and sometimes gives little Peke kisses.
In spite of his "handicap", Joey is a happy camper who wags his tail whenever we talk to him. Although he will attempt to bully large dogs, he could be an only dog or would enjoy a sibling or two if they were about his size. The veterinarian feels that he would do best with a grassy yard and carpeting. I especially agree with the yard - Joey absolutely loves to be outside in any weather, especially if his people are with him.
He loves people and other dogs, is house-broken and crate-trained. All traits are positive in this wonderful dog. Joey has been neutered, is uptd on all shots, micro-chipped, heartworm- and lymne-tested negative. Please give this gentle creature a place in your home and heart. A completed application, checkable references including a veterinarian, a home visit, and adoption donation of $250 are required.
