2009 marks the 20th anniversary of START II. Our grassroots rescue effort has made a difference in the lives of thousands of cats and dogs over the years, that would have otherwise faced certain death in kill shelters or on the streets. Most of them are still with their adoptive families, while others live on in their families’ memories.

      To commemorate our 20th anniversary, START II is honoring the animals we have rescued and the loving families who have given them homes by creating Faces of Hope – a giant poster featuring some of our rescued pets. This poster will be proudly displayed in our three PetSmart adoption centers. All that is required to participate is a $5 donation to cover production costs and photo of your adopted pet.
