2009 CALENDAR
CONTEST
We would
like to thank everyone who entered their dog(s) in the first Eleventh Hour
2008 Calendar Contest. There were lots of great stories and the selections
were difficult. We also received some great photographs from all the
entries. Our goal was to incorporate as many of your photos as possible
into some part of the calendar. If your dog was not selected as one of the
Top 12 Dogs, but you submitted clear, quality photos, they may still be
included in the calendar. The judging criteria was as follows: 1)The
story, 2)The look (we were looking for all breeds and mixes and dogs with
lots of personality).
To enter the 2009 contest, simply submit
a photo(s) of your 11th Hour Dog, along with a short explanation of the
photo, the dog, how it was rescued and/or anything you wish to share with
us, along with a $10.00 entry fee/donation (payable by check). Please also
include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
Prints can be standard snapshot size (3½
inches x 5 inches) or larger. All photos must be in sharp focus. Digital
photographs are eligible and must be e-mailed in a jpg or tif, format.
Slide photographs are ineligible. Photos may be in a horizontal or
vertical format. Digital photographs are preferred.
Your
photo will then be judged by our volunteers. Photos will be judged on
quality, content and originality. The photo that we feel best exhibits
Eleventh Hour Dogs, will win a spot on our calendar! *Your $10.00 will go
toward production costs of the calendar. All photos must be received no
later than June 1, 2007. All winners will receive a free calendar.

Digital photos should be a minimum of 300 DPI and printed photos
should be actual photographs capable of being scanned. Please include
your dog's name with your submission. If you are unable to email your
photo, please send your photo to our PO box.

CALENDAR ADVERTISING
If you would like to advertise in our 2009 calendar:
All proceeds from this calendar will go towards
supporting and maintaining our existing adoptable dogs and towards
rescuing additional dogs. We plan to print at least 250 calendars, but
may print more if we receive enough advertising interest. These
calendars will be sold at our annual Puptoberfest event, to be held in
September of 2008 at the Sussex County Fair Grounds. In addition, we
anticipate selling the calendars at our weekend adoption events and
fundraising events, while supplies last.
If you would like to advertise in our calendar, the
pricing is as follows:
Inside Front or Inside Back Cover $250.00
Back Cover $300.00
Business-Card Size (3.5” x 2” landscape) $ 50.00
All ad positions are on "first entry" basis, subject
to availability. Please act quickly. Choice locations go FAST! In
order to place an advertisement in the calendar, Eleventh Hour Rescue
requires the following:
Photo-ready logo plus specific text to be included in the ad,
preferably formatted to fit the appropriate space. ** Using graphic
editing software, we may be able to reformat or resize the
advertisements to fit the required spaces. This can be done at no
additional charge.
