~~ WHO WE ARE ~~

Animal Lifeline Inc., is a small non-profit rescue organization, dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of sick and/or injured stray and abandoned dogs and cats. Created by the employees of an animal hospital in Burlington County, NJ, we believe that as animal health care professionals, we not only have the opportunity, but also the responsibility to help animals that shelters might otherwise be forced to euthanize.

Animal Lifeline, Inc. is an animal rescue group, not a shelter. Animals are placed in foster care whenever possible; they're boarded at a veterinary hospital when foster homes are not available, or when illness prevents in-home care.

All animals are examined by veterinarians. Dogs are heart-worm tested, and cats are FIV/FELV tested. They are fully vaccinated, wormed and spayed or neutered (if old enough).

~~ HOW YOU CAN HELP ~~

We're seeking loving homes for our animals, for both foster care and adoptions.

Veterinarian or personal references are required for adoption. The donation fee for adoption is $125. Pets have been examined and treated by a veterinarian. If the animal has not already been spayed or neutered, your adopted animal will be eligible for the NJ state $20 spay / neuter program. When you return for this procedure, your pet will receive a free Home Again microchip, which will help you be united again, should he/she be lost. You only need to pay Home Again's registration fee of $17.50.

Unable to foster or adopt an animal at this time, but still want to help? We'll gratefully put all donations to good use for medical care, and boarding expenses.

In addition to volunteering to foster an animal until a good home can be found, other volunteer opportunities exist from time to time. Please contact us if you'd like to help.

Gift Wrapping at Borders Books and Music Stores
If you like to wrap presents, you'll love helping us at Borders. The store provides us with everything we need to wrap items for their customers, and allows us to accept donations for our services, and provide information about our homeless pets. Folks are very appreciative of our wrapping services.
