- The following are our Adoption Requirements:
* Here Kitty Kitty's service area is New Jersey.
* We will only adopt to homes where the Cat will be an indoor pet.
* The adopter must be at least 21 years old.
* If you rent, we must have written consent from your landlord that your are permitted to
have a pet.
* The adoption application must be completely filled out. We cannot process your
application if it is missing information.
* If your adoption is approved, we require that you sign our adoption
contract.
If you meet our Adoption Requirements, complete our Adoption Application. We can
only accept completed applications. Please provide as much information as you can about
your family, other pets, and why you are wanting to adopt a rescued cat or kitten.
Once we receive the application we will start the adoption process where we contact
your veterinarian and personal references.
Depending on the availability of volunteers and your references, this process may take
a week or more to complete. Please be patient, we are all volunteers with families, jobs
and our own pets to take care of.
You will receive a call from a volunteer once all of your references have been
contacted, to further discuss your application.
If you are approved to adopt, we will schedule an appointment where you can meet the
cat. If after this meeting, everyone agrees he/she is a good fit for your
family, we will ask you to sign our Adoption Contract. If you do not agree to the
stipulations in the Contract, we cannot adopt a cat to you.
The adoption fee, due when you get your new family member helps to defray some of the
medical and other costs we incur while the cat is in our care. All of our cats are
current on vaccinations and are either spayed or neutered.
Our adoption fees are:
$120.00 for an adult cat
$ 85.00 for a kitten
Kittens under the age of 6 months that have not yet been spayed or neutered due
to age requirements, will require an additional $50.00 refundable spay/neuter
deposit.
We will provide you with the cats's veterinary records so you will be fully informed
of any known medical conditions.
