Rogers ' Rescues is comprised solely of volunteers; volunteers with families and jobs who just have a love for dogs and want to help however they can, however often they can. We need volunteers to help out primarily in these 3 areas:
Adoption Interviews
Home Visits
Foster Homes
Adoption Interviews
Our process to adopt starts with an application. The next step is a phone interview to better understand the type of dog the applicant is interested in. Volunteers are needed to schedule and conduct these interviews. Rogers ' Rescues provides training on how to conduct interviews.
Home VisitsAll potential adopters also require a home visit as part of our adoption process. Volunteers are needed to schedule and conduct these visits. These visits take about half an hour and Rogers ' Rescues provides training on how to conduct these visits.
Foster Homes
Foster homes are needed to actually rescue the dogs. All our dogs are pulled from Rogers' Rescues verified shelters, primary in the Southern states as well as locally from the Newark, NJ AHS. Fostering is a big commitment and foster homes need to be flexible. Because we are a group that spans NJ and Eastern PA, foster homes need to be able to drive at least an hour's distance from their home. Rogers' Rescues has a huge foster home support network and you are never alone with any problems or questions that arise when fostering. If you are interested in fostering, you are put through our training program to learn all about the processes and what to expect.

Veterinarians and Pet Care Specialists
