Patrick

Patrick was not quite a year when I saw him on Petfinder.

The pet posting by the Friends of Wayne Animals said he had a walking disability. Patrick did indeed have some issues with his rear legs, but his spirit was amazing.

 I could not resist his charm and brought him home, where he quickly adapted to the two German shorthaired pointers, who would become his friends, and my other special needs cats. Patrick has no problem getting around in "his way."

But I decided he really needed some wheels, so last week his cart arrived. Patrick will need some physical therapy to help build the upper body strength to support his back end when he's in his cart, but my veterinarian said the outlook is a bright one for Patrick.
