Victor is a handsome one-year-old who, in spite of having only three legs, survived living outside in a hoarder situation with 50 other cats.
The initial days at Hearts & Paws were difficult for Victor as he thought every cat was an adversary for both food and affection. He "made friends" slowly but we noticed that he loved his toys and was one of the "hardest" playing cats we've seen - running from room to room and batting his catnip mice.
We knew Vic would need a special person - someone with patience to understand the negative results of his background.
Pat, a psychiatric social worker, saw the potential in Vic in spite of his rough exterior. With understanding and kindness, she got him to trust again. He now comes when she calls him, is affectionate and is even socializing with her friends.
Best of luck in the future, Pat and Victor.
