If you find a dog or cat at another shelter that you absolutely fall in love with, please call me.  I belong to an internet group of pet transporters, who coordinate getting dogs and cats to their new homes, which may be several hundred miles away. So if you love a puppy in Illinois - call me and I'll call that shelter - a lot of the other transporters are involved with shelter work, and there might be one there who can also help you get your new baby home.
