How to Adopt.

Call us at the shelter. If we have an animal that might be right for you, we will arrange a time for you to meet, and for you to complete an adoption application.

If there is an animal you wish to adopt, our staff will tell you everything they know about the animal, and will advise you as to any special needs of that animal. They will observe you with the animal and make appropriate recommendations.

Adoption approvals are based on our staff's recommendations. We would not knowingly allow you to adopt an animal that might not fit into your family.

You must sign a legal contract agreeing to the care of your adopted pet. You must also agree that if for any reason you cannot keep the animal, it will be returned to the CCHS shelter.

Our adoption fee of $85.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats includes a spay or neuter procedure and a microchip. Vaccinations are age-appropriate and current.

Keep in mind when visiting us that the animals you see are willing to give you unconditional love... are you willing to give that to them, no matter what happens in your life? They deserve a lifetime commitment.
