Sissy wants to get rid of her heartworms, and a decent meal.![]() We have another lady saint waiting to enter rescue. She has an opening in the Foster Family Program, but there is not enough money in the pot to save this sweet gal. Our funds have been depleted over the past few weeks for other needy saints. We need your help to save this gal, if you could find it in your heart and pocket book to make a donation to help this gal - she could just possibly be saved from her life of misery. You see, Sissy was once a 'breeder' dog, tragically neglected except to bring the prior 'owner' a litter of puppies over and over. She'll need to be fattened up some, have some vaccinations updated, wormed her, and treated for heartworm disease. In addition she will need to be spayed. Sissy was used a breeder several times and was mostly tied up outside. She also needs to be housebroken. Without heartworm treatment complications her vet care (spay and heartworm treatment) will be at least $470.00 and she will be in foster for at least 6 weeks. |
Update - Dec 23rd.![]() We have raised enough money to at least bring Sissy into rescue. The transportation is being worked out and looks like Sissy will be in rescue by next weekend. Please help spread the word about Sissy and those like her. We still do not have the funds to start her heartworm treatments - but we can at least get her into rescue and get started on her vet work. Pictures coming soon! |
Update - Dec 31st.![]() Sissy is in rescue! A big thank you to those who made this gal's miracle come true. Without the donations this sweet saint would not have the chance at a good life. Sissy entered rescue this past Friday, and is scheduled for her routine vet work and spay operation this coming Tuesday, Jan. 2nd. With a recent adoption, the funding is now in place for her to start her much needed heartworm treatments. What a wonderful way to start the new year! In the words of Dickens' Tiny Tim, "God bless us every one!" See the rest of Sissy's Story - Tales of Rescue. |
