Toga's Hipper Sale - May 30, 2009
Toga's Hipper Sale is postponed until May 30th - We need more donatins to pull this off!
It's here, Spring has 'sprung'! and it's time to dust off the 'treasures' we have stored away and hold our Hipper Sale to help our boy, Toga, secure funding for his hip replacement surgery. For those that aren't familiar with Toga and his plight, check out the Urgent Needs page or Toga's Bio for more information.
Toga presently has about 30 % of the needed funding in place, so we are pretty much on target to have his surgery by years end. That is due entirely to the generosity of so many of you guys out there, without your support Toga's future would be very much different.
Toga's hip continues to deteriorate but we are still able to control his pain with the medication. The last report I heard from the vet stated Toga should be able to hold out till the end of the year. That said, we are going forward with the same projected time frame and look at the end of '09 as Toga's "New Hipper Day". But, the only way we can get there is to raise enough to actually pay for his surgery. Thus, our spring time event, The "Hipper Sale".
Some may think it's just a yard sale, but they would be oh so wrong, it may look like every other yard sale, but this one is a true 'Hipper Sale'. Why you ask? Because, every cent from this event is going toward Toga's new hip - every single penny.
We're still accepting donations of 'items' for the sale, and will right up to the morning of May 30th. If you have anything you would be willing to donate, please contact us today by email.

The sale will be held in the Fayetteville area (stay tuned for the exact address to be announced soon). We plan to start at 8:00am and go till 1:30 or so - depending on the turn out. We are urgently looking for volunteers to join us on that Saturday morning. We hope to find someone able to set up a 'concession type stand' and enough to assist with it - but as of right now, we simply don't have the manpower (aka woman power) to make that happen.
As you can see, there are several areas that we could use your help, so if you can - come join us on Saturday May 30th. Even if you can't make it that day, maybe you can donate some items that we could offer for sale. Between us all, we are gonna get Toga a hip - you just wait and see.
