Why foster a saint bernard?
Help give these gentle giants a chance at having a real home.
By fostering a saint bernard, you are providing not only a place for a dog to live, but more importantly, a chance to overcome whatever injustice has become these magnificent animals.
Why doesn't that dog have a home?
The dogs in our care came from a variety of locations and for a variety of reasons. Some are rescued from Kill-Shelters, while others come from truly loving homes. Some just plain "got too big". Some never had a home to begin with.
But I want a Saint of my own.
What better way to show your affection for this wonderful breed than to take one into your home. Show him or her the love and care they so clearly need and deserve?
What about veterinarian care? Who pays for everything?
All rescues are normally completely vetted before placing into a foster home. Should the foster need additional medical care, upon approval, the medical care is paid for by NC Saint Bernard Rescue.
But I already have a dog and a cat!
Every effort is made to discover the dogs nature during temperament testing before accepting the dog into rescue.
NC Saint Bernard Rescue only places dogs of an adoptable temperament.
Can I choose my foster Saint?
Dogs are placed in foster care based on availability, foster requests, and the best fit for the foster and rescue dog.
