SOME OTHER WAYS TO HELP
Sponsor a sanctuary cat:
In our shelter, there are "hard to adopt" cats. I
call them sanctuary cats. For some reason, mentally or
physically, these cats have endured long periods of time here - some for
most of their lives. Many are very sweet and in the right
situation might find a
home. You could sponsor a sanctuary cat for $150 a year (individual) or
$300 a year for corporate. This will provide food, vet check ups, shots
and care. A photo of your cat would be sent to donors along with
periodic progress reports. If your cat finds a home, another would be
provided in its place. Some in need are: Missy, Melton, Charlie,

is a great way to help out Catman2. If you sign up for free, the
website will donate $5 to Catman2. If you shop there, the shelter
also receives a percentage. By simply signing up, a process that

$1,000-$5,000! Make sure to tell everyone you know to vote as

Make a cool video and help it go viral! The Internet was made for cats to show off - so talk about us! MORE WAYS TO HELP! - Donate
appreciated stock! Stock you purchases years ago for a small sum
may have increased in value. If you donate this to Catman2, you
would save paying tax on the appreciated value.
- Donate
a small mobile building (large sheds, storage buildings, etc). In
the future, we wish to expand our shelter to have places for FeLV/FIV
positive cats to go, as well as a boarding facility. These
buildings could also be very useful for keeping cats when our shelter
is at capacity. Help us make our dream happen!
- Work
for a company interested in community charity or is your boss an animal
lover? Ask your HR department if your company will match your
monetary contribution, or if you can hold an office fundraiser for the
shelter.
- Name Catman2 in a will or trust - a donation to a non-profit tax exempt group could help reduce inheritance taxes.
- Make
a donation to an endowment fund for Catman2. These funds would be
invested by a recommended firm and the only interest would be used for
operating funds. This gift could grow and keep giving.
- Donate a car, boat, home, land, etc.
This could be sold to raise money for Catman2 and you would
gain a tax exempt donation to reduce your income tax.
- Donate
an item from our wishlist shown on the main page. You may have
many of these common items in your home already. If you have a
membership with a bulk supplier such as Sam's Club or Costco, consider
donating an item in bulk.
- Volunteer! It's easy, fun, and a great way to meet new friends - both feline and human :)
- Sponsor a fund raiser to help Catman2! This could be a dance/party,
bake sale, drag show, 5k race, neighborhood yard sale, cooking contest, variety show, battle of the bands
show, or other event... Be creative!
