Our Endowment Needs

AN  ENDOWMENT

Written by Harold Sims

I am President and Founder of Catman2 Inc., I am 72 years old and have operated this facility for more than twelve years. I hope to be able to carry into the foreseeable future. However, I must face the fact that one day I must step down and find someone to begin to take over, first, as a shelter manager (under my guidance) and later to operate the shelter.  I have no family able to fill this position.  I am requesting your help in finding money to set up an endowment of sufficient magnitude to generate enough income to pay the salary of this person and to provide sufficient operational funds. Of course this person and our Board of Directors will continue efforts to secure funding as we have done in the past.

Catman2 Inc. is a far too valuable asset to be allowed to die with me. The shelter, starting in a converted boathouse, has grown to become one of the finest and most cat friendly shelters in the State. In twelve years of operation we have rescued and found homes for more than 2,500 cats and have helped countless numbers of people find peace of mind when they had to, for valid reasons, give up their cat.  Placing their cat with the Catman2 Shelter assured them that the cat would soon find a new home or remain at the shelter until one could be found. Fewer than twenty cats rescued have remained sheltered since their day of conception.

If you can help, or know of someone with the means to help, please get in touch with me. You may email us at hsims@catman2.org or write: Catman2 Inc. PO Box 2344,  Cullowhee, NC 29723.  My goal is to raise in excess off $500,000.00, and this money will be placed in secure investments.  Funding for shelter needs would be made from investment results. The principal would be kept in tact and managed by the Board of Directors with assistance from financial experts.

We are seeking: grants, inheritances, gifts, and donations, in order to reach our goal.  Thank you in advance for your kind support.
