We are proud to report the following fantastic work accomplished the week of February 13 through 18, 2000 by our wonderful U.S. veterinarian friends, John Opalka, DVM and James Felts, DVM (Orthopedic Specialist) and their spouses who are veterinary technicians who graciously volunteered their time in Puerto Vallarta!

Emergency Cesarean Section to save her one living puppy.
Emergency Dog hit by Truck – Exploratory surgery and repair of ruptured bladder.

Seminars and Instructional Practices and Surgeries for Vallarta – 3 Nights
1. Seminar at the Cruz Roja – 9 Vallarta Vets and other guests attended.
2. Practical Surgeries, Instruction on X-Ray technique, and operation of anesthesia equipment – 11 Vallarta Vets attended.
3. Actual teaching surgeries (2) - One Bone surgery and an Exploratory with Bladder Repair – 14 Vallarta Vets attended these two and various other surgeries during the weekdays were observed by other vets.

Adoptions – 4 (AN ADDED BONUS!)
