Help needed in transporting dogs and cats out of Mexico.
The thing we really need the most right now is to find homes (foster or permanent ones) for the many dogs & cats we have here in our Mexico rescue. There is no place for them & we can not put them at the Centro de Acopio (City animal collection center) as they will only be able to stay there for 72 hours before being put down (how - we are not told???).
The
3 places where we have the dogs and cats now are at maximum and many of
the people running these 3 foster facilities will be leaving for the season
to return with their own animals to the states or Canada.
We MUST find places for these pets to go. To learn more about this URGENT
need, please Click

The paper
ran a story about the donations made to the Centro de Acopio Animals by Roie
Griego, President of Friends of the Animals, Inc. Below are photos of some
of these donations being made. Click to enlarge.
4 large bags of food, (about 20 bowls for food & water were given a couple of months ago), a computer, mouse, keyboard, monitor, Lexmark printer. The computer is loaded with Excel & Word software.
FOTA
is in the process of setting up a free Petfinder website for them to advertise
the dogs for adoption and keep track of dogs going through the Centro. This
will provide them with a free website. An e-mail address has also been set
up for them.
In addition
to the computer, FOTA gave them many large stainless steel food/water bowls,
many towels, a plastic table, & a water dispenser for use at the Centro.
