Donations

Because KPFL is an all volunteer organization, we are always in need of funds. We are a no-kill shelter. No animal leaves our shelter without first being neutered or spayed and being up to date on shots. That is just the beginning of our expenses so please consider making a donation. We will be happy to receive Tribute Donations remembering people as well as pets; Grants and Bequests; In-Kind and Material Donations; as well as Private Fund raisers. We obtained our Tax Exempt Status in 2002.

Volunteers:

KPFL is always looking for volunteers to help with the many jobs that need to be done:

Shelter workers to clean or help clean

Office workers (to help with paper work and answer phones at the shelter while the cleaners are working)

Office workers to show people around during our public open hours ( Saturdays and Sundays 10AM-2 PM) We would really like to be open to the public more often, but need scheduled office people to do that.

Home workers (people who will make calls, such as checking references for people wanting to adopt)

Dog walkers - getting to walk daily is essential to the dogs health and sociability, making them more adoptable

Cat and dog groomers (to brush and groom animals -- the attention and handling of animals is vital for adoptability

Foster homes:

People who take in animals on a temporary basis can mean so much in development and sociability of puppies and kittens, cats and dogs.
