Santuary Rabbits
Sanctuary rabbits are those buns who will, because of medical or other conditions, spend the remainder of their lives in a foster home where they are are able to maintain a comfortable and "quality of life" happiness with appropriate care.
Visit our "Rabbit Sponsors" page for information on sponsoring one of our sanctuary buns.
 | Short for "Auld Lang Syne" because he was found abandoned on New Year's Eve, Auldi is a sad story of a bunny who does not trust. Even his foster mom suffers from bite marks. He is a very aggressive bunny who has found comfort and sanctuary at his foster home.

 | Katrina was taken to animal control to specifically be euthenized and was subsequently rescued. She has had surgery on her ears to alleviate constant ear infections. She requires significant medical monitoring. It is hoped that she will soon bond with another bunny after the loss of her beloved Bailey (see "Memorials"). |
 | Trixie (right) has passed to the Rainbow Bridge. Majic Too, (on left) was declawed on all four feet, meaning all of his toes
were amputated. Rabbits don't have claws like cats, but rather have nails like dogs.
He requires a soft surface because hard surfaces cause pain from the permanent damage
done to the nerve endings in the toe stumps. |
 | Duda is a large, female New Zealand Red who has survived the extraordinary. She came in after being found in the street where she had been hit by a car. The side of her face looked bad, but she has since become a miracle bunny. The only visible sign of her accident is the place on her ear where her fur is still coming back in.
