Graham's
new family absolutely loves
him! With three kids, a
mom and dad, and a dog too,
Graham, now named Kiki,
is getting lots of attention
and loving. His new family
tells us that he is doing
very well, loves to play,
sleeps with all of them,
and is working on getting
used to the dog. They're
quite sure that he and the
dog will eventually end
up being good friends. Thank
you to this great family
for making a warm and wonderful
home for this loveable kitten!

Sadie
loves her new home with
Jonathan who pampers and
spoils her which she likes
just fine. Jonathan tells
us that Sadie loves to sleep
with him at night, laying
next to him on her back
with her legs crossed -
just like him. She has settled
in to her new home and is
doing her best to "train"
Jonathan. She hopes her
brothers Simon and Seal
find great homes like hers
real soon!

We
couldn't have hoped for
a better ending to Sara's
story. After starting out
life in a rough way, as
a feral kitten, Sara came
to one of our foster homes.
She started out very scared
and wanted nothing but to
try and hide, but we worked
on socializing her to being
with people. She has now
found a perfect home with
Annie and Mark and she has
adjusted to being with them
in record time. She was
hardly scared for any time
at all and is now playing
with them and being loved
by them just like she always
lived there. She must have
known right away that she
was home! Thank you to Annie
and Mark for being willing
to be patient with little
Sara and for offering her
so much love!

|
|
Samuel

and affectionate little
kitten. In no time at all,
Samuel was adopted by a
wonderful family full of
love, as well as other playmates!
His new family opened their
hearts and homes to yet
another success story. Sam
is very happy in his new
home and will be loved by
all for a very long time.

These
two brothers, now named
Mojo and Taz (formally
Noah & Moses), were
both adopted by a wonderfully
loving family. After having
gone through such hardships
as tiny kittens, they now
have the love and care they
so desperately desired.
Both Mojo and Taz have become
a part of this very special
family. Thank you so much!
Now these brothers can live
out the rest of their days
in a warm and happy home
- exactly where they deserve
to be.

Robin
wanted to bring two kittens
into her life so that she
would have an apartment
full of love when she came
home from her college classes.
She found Rory and
Torie on our website,
came to meet them at their
foster home, and the match
was made! Being as cuddly
and loveable as any two
kittens could be, Rory and
Torie and Robin took to
each other right away. Now
named Tucker and Zoey, the
kittens are happy, healthy,
and everything that Robin
could have wanted. Thank
you, Robin!s

Dory
found her new home after
only being in her foster
home for a couple of weeks!
Mary Kate had asked for
a kitten for her birthday
gift and so she and her
mom, Ronda, came to visit
to meet all the kittens,
and Dory made herself right
at home in Mary Kate's lap.
Who could resist that? Ronda
tells us that Dory is doing
wonderful, everyone loves
her, and she is even getting
used to the dog. Mary Kate
has named her Kirei Chan,
which means Little Miss
Pretty in Japanese. Thank
you to Ronda and Mary Kate
for making such a wonderful
home for Kirei Chan!

These
two little beautiful long-haired
kittens have found a home
together with two roommates,

be best buddies in their
foster home, and they were
lucky enough to get adopted
by roommates, Michael and
Joe, who were looking for
playmates for the kitten
they already had at home.
Joe tells us that Larissa
and Amelia, now named Frieda

Georgia
has a knack for finding
just the right people! After
finding a very nice lady
who was concerned about
her in the middle of winter
and so found a warm and
safe foster home for her,
Georgia has now found her
new family who is being
very understanding and patient
with her! Georgia, now named
Maya, is taking some time
to get used to the dogs
in her new home, and still
spends quite a bit of time
hanging out by herself in
"her" room. But
Peggy and Denny, who adopted
both of their dogs as rescues,
are giving her all the time
and love she needs. They
feel sure that once she
realizes the dogs aren't
a threat to her, that Maya
will join the family and
they'll all live happily
together. Thank you to Peggy
and Denny for being so patient
and loving with Maya!

Uno
and Tres, now named
Murphy and Quigley, have
settled into their new home
in Kalamazoo in record time.
They're still getting to
know the resident kitty,
Calvin, who isn't too sure
about being friends with
the new kids. But Sally
and Ed say they're thrilled
with their new kitties,
and are sure Calvin will
be too, eventually. As Sally
writes us "They have
settled in beautifully.
We are slowly introducing
them to our older cat. We
are letting Calvin set the
pace for the final integration.
Meanwhile, the kitties have
a great room full of toys,
etc. They love to play on
a cat tower and then they
fall asleep in it. We can
already tell their personalities.
Quigley is very affectionate
and purrs a lot. Murphy
is more independent."
A big thank you to Sally
and Ed, for making a wonderful
home for these two great
kittens!

Rosie
and Smokie
were adopted to a
beautiful home! Their
new mom writes"
I just wanted to let
you know Rosie &
Smokie are still doing
great, they have made
themselves right at
home here. They are
both such sweet kitties.
Rosie is still very
quiet, but is very
content and Smokie
is quite the talker
!!! He talks almost
non-stop. I cant help
but wonder if he has
some Siamese in him.
Other than that, all
is going great! -

Barnum
and Bailey have gone
to their perfect home in
Potterville. This brother
and sister pair had been
together their whole life,
so we wanted them to find
a forever home where they
could stay together. Brandy
and her family have given
them that perfect forever
home! Brandy tells us that
Barnum and Bailey hid under
the bed for the first couple
of hours, but then came
out to explore, and now
it's like they've lived
there their whole lives.
Thank you to Brandy and
her family for giving Barnum
and Bailey the love they
were looking for!

Sugar
and Spice found their
forever home with a wonderful
family in Okemos. Their
new mom tells us that Sugar
quickly made herself at
home, pretty much owning
the place in less than a
day, and that Spice took
a little longer to feel
comfortable, but is now
doing great. She reports
that they're eating well,
running and playing like
good rambunctious kittens
should, and asking for lots
of love and attention. We're
so glad these adorable tiger
girls have found a happily-ever-after
ending!

from our website, in the

the perfect companion for
his cat, Annie. Larry tells
us that Chelsea and Annie

She enjoys sitting on Larry's

pretty happy! Thank you

home to another wonderful
rescue kitty.

the perfect match for her

us that Maggie and Sunshine
are running and playing
together and having a lot

Gretal
was adopted into a perfect
family exactly one year
from this month! Her new
mom brought over her little
girl to come and see if
Gretal would brighten her
life a little bit. Gretal
was stubborn, she always
seemed to scratch anywhere
but the scratching post
and needed a family that
would be patient enough
to keep training her. Gretal's
new family embraced her
with the love and guidance
she has been waiting for.
To Gretal... my forever

your kitty kisses!!

Winnie
got adopted into a wonderful
new family and now has a
big brother to play with.
At first Winnie's new mom,
Anna, said
"Winnie
is scratching everything
but the scratching post
and is still hissing at
my kitty" - not off
to a good start Winnie!!
Thank you so much for taking
the time to allow Winnie
to adjust to her new surroundings...
I can't think of a better
family for Winnie to grow
old with because of the
patience you had with her.
Good luck Winnie and I will
really miss you!!

Colette
has found her forever home
in a wonderful home in Okemos!
Molly had stopped by one
of our adoption shows to
look for a kitty for her
mom. She spied cute little
Colette and was captivated
by her friendly and outgoing
personality. Molly and her
mom, Jane, later came to
see Colette at her foster
home, and Jane fell in love
with Colette too. Colette
instantly made herself comfortable
in Jane's lap and almost
fell asleep! How could anyone
say no to that? In our follow-up
call, Jane says that Colette
is doing great and they
just love having her in
their home. Thank you to
Molly and Jane, for making
room in your hearts and
home for Colette!

 Ryan
and Rita are two lucky
kittens - they got to go
to their new forever home
together! We were very thrilled
for them because Ryan was

as a birthday present for
her nephew, and she tells
us that he was very excited
about the surprise and bonded
immediately with Ryan. Jamie
says that Rita and Ryan
are happy typical kittens,
rambunctious and into everything!

she is very happy there!
Her new mom, Michelle, reports
that Ruthie purred all the
way home in the car, and

a two-year old tortie, took
about a week to completely
accept Ruthie, but now they're
getting along like old pals.
A big thank you to Michelle

Keila
is very grateful to have
found a loving forever home
with Lisa and her mom. Keila
came to us from a home where
she had been severely neglected,
so it took her some time
to learn to trust us. When
we thought she was ready
to go to a new home, we
took her to her first adoption
show, and - voila! - there
was Lisa! Lisa was willing
to give Keila the time and
understanding it would take
for her to feel comfortable
in her new home. Lisa tells
us that although Keila doesn't
like to be held very much
yet, she is playing and
looking out windows and
"seems happy to be
there." We can't possibly
express how much gratitude
we feel to Lisa for the
love and understanding she
is giving to Keila, our
very special girl!

Lana
has found a perfect forever
home that we think was meant
just for her. Deb and her
mom were looking for an
older cat that would be
calm and would enjoy sharing
their company. They saw
Lana's picture in the paper
and called to find out more
about her, and the rest
is history! Lana did some
hiding at first, since it
was another big change in
her life, but now she is
doing great. Deb says she
spends a few hours in the
mornings hiding somewhere,
probably sleeping, but is
now happy to spend the rest
of the day with them. Thank
you to Deb and her mom for
taking Lana into your home,
and especially for being
so patient and understanding
while she adjusted!

Shadow,
now named Charlie, is getting
lots of love in his new
home. He now has a doggie
brother, Max, who he's not
too sure about yet, but
is making progress with.
Jennifer, Charlie's new
mom, writes in an email,
"Max is just so curious
about Charlie, but Charlie
is not yet so curious about
Max. When he hears the jingle
of Max's collar then he
hides under the sofa, he
does come out though when
Max is not around and is
getting braver with everyday,
at how long he waits before
he jets for the couch. He
is very lovable mostly at
night and in the early morning
when I am getting ready
for the day. Overall we
are very happy to have him
here, and can't thank you
enough for taking such good
care of him for us. We all
just love him!" Thank
you to Jennifer, for taking
Charlie into your new home
and giving him all the love
he deserves.

Samantha
found her perfect new home
with an older couple who
had just recently lost their
18-year old kitty. They
wanted another wonderful
kitty to fill up the empty
spot in their home, and
Samantha has done just that.
She keeps them entertained
with her antics and activity
- for example, jumping from
the top of the bookcase
to the floor, and then to
the top of the entertainment
center, etc. Samantha just
loves being the center of
attention and having her
new people and the whole
house all to herself. We
think it's a match made
in heaven! We'll miss you,
Samantha, but congratulations
on finally finding your
forever home!

Danni
has found a wonderful home
with two new kitty friends!
Amanda had adopted a kitten
from us last fall, and so
she stopped in to one of
our adoption shows to say
hi. When she saw Danni there,
it was a match made in heaven!
It took Cindy, one of Amanda's
other cats, a little longer
to get used to Danni, but
they are getting along together
just fine now. And Junior,
Amanda's other cat, just
loves Danni - they run and
play together just like
they're lifetime pals. Thank
you to Amanda for giving
another of our kittens a
wonderful forever home!

Charlie's
new guardian says
he is the perfect
fit for their family.
He is getting along
really well with his
new human brothers.
He even made it to
the top bunk one night
to sleep with the
oldest brother. Charlie
is a special guy and
we are so happy he
found his way to a
special home.

the household only
as these two can do.
Chloe has learned
to play fetch and
insists on this game
every night. If Cleo
isn't in their new
grandma's lap, then
Chloe is. Their new
guardian says "thank
you" for the
girls and is so happy
they joined her household.

According
to Jolene's new guardian,
it didn't take long for
her to settle in and put
her spin on things. She
got acquainted fairly fast
with the family dogs and
gets along well with them.
The family will often find
Jolene lounging on the bar
watching their bird in the
cage at the end of the bar.
She finds this great entertainment.
It sounds like this family
is happy to have her aboard.
Thanks so much to them for
providing her a home.

Little
Figaro found her
furrever home in early April.
She was adopted into a great
family and now has a German
Shepherd brother to get
use to. Penny's new mom
said Figaro hissed and scratched
at the dog her first few
days she was there but is
now slowly showing the dog
who's boss! Thanks Penny
and family for allowing
Figaro time to adjust to
her new canine brother and
surroundings! Have fun Figaro
I will miss you dearly!

Colleen,
now named Bailey, found
her forever home at one
of our adoption events.
Nancy and her husband were
shopping for pet supplies
when they spotted little
Colleen and decided it was
a perfect time to add a
kitten to their family!
In our follow-up call, Nancy
tells us that Colleen is
doing just great in their
home. Their six year old
cat is playing with Colleen,
and their Border Collie
has accepted her just fine,
once Colleen showed her
who was boss. Thank you
to Nancy and her husband
for providing a wonderful
forever home for Colleen!

Little
Jersey found her
forever home in March 04.
She was adopted by a really
nice family who was looking
for an older kitten to join
their family. In a recent
email, Lisa wrote, "she
is adjusting fine and we
absolutely love her. I think
we are definitely attached
to her now!" I can't
thank you enough Mr. and
Mrs. Czarnecki for giving
Jersey the love and family
she deserves! Congratulations
Jersey!

Mario
is now happy and content
in his new home! Julie and
her husband were looking
for a kitty to be a companion
to their older kitty, and
fell in love with Mario
when they visited him in
his foster home. It took
Mario a little while to
get used to his new home,
but Julie tells us in an
email, "Just wanted
to let you know that Mario
is doing just wonderful.
He had a rough start with
us but he has totally adjusted
to his new home fine. He
is such a treat and a great
little boy. We are so happy
we decided to keep him.
Just wanted to say thanks
and give you an update."
Thank you to Julie, for
being patient with Mario
and for seeing what a wonderful
kitty he is!

After
spending a cold snowy
winter outdoors and
months in foster care,
Moe is happy
to have found his
forever home with
a young couple. They
are thrilled to have
him share their home
and provide him with
his favorite food
and lots of TLC in
exchange for his camaraderie
and adoration. Our
sincere thanks to
this caring couple
for helping us help
Moe.

Sally
joins her new cat
sister and human mom
Sue. They are all
getting along just
fine. Sue writes "Here
are some pictures
of Sally in her new
home, with her new
"sister",
Shelby. Hope you like
them. Sue. PS
they are getting along
well now."

Brittany
was looking for a very special
kitten to fill an empty
spot in her life, and when
she met Starr at
one of our adoption shows,
she knew they were meant
for each other. In our follow-up
call, Brittany tells us
that Starr is doing just
wonderfully, and she absolutely
loves having her in her
home. She says that Starr
will be cuddling and purring
one minute, then off running
and playing in the blink
of an eye. That's what we
love about kittens! Thank
you to Brittany for providing
a loving forever home for
Starr!

Sprite,
now named Mynx, loves his
new home - especially his
older sister kitty, Meikko,
another Siamese-mix, that
he runs and chases and plays
with. Andrea and Phil were
looking for a kitten to
be a playmate for Meikko,
and when they saw Mynx at
his foster home they knew
right away that he was the
one! They tell us that besides
running and playing, he
likes to cuddle with them
and curl up on the nice
warm waterbed. We're very
happy with the ending for
this story, and we know
that Mynx is going to have
happy long life being spoiled
rotten in his new forever
home. Thank you to Andrea
and Phil!

Callie
has found her forever home
with Leann and her family.
Leann writes in an email,
"We just wanted to
let you know that Callie
is doing GREAT! She gets
along with our two dogs
and other cat. Thank you
for taking such good care
of her." Thank you
to Leann and her family
for taking Callie into their
home and giving her a forever
home and all the love that
this sweet kitty deserves!

With
her gorgeous long brown
and black coat and friendly
personality, Frieda
was sure to find a forever
home quickly. And that she
did! Peggy and Bill saw
her at one of our adoption
events and decided to make
her a part of their family
with a spur-of-the-moment
decision. The other kitty
already at their house has
not appreciated the decision
quite so much, but her and
Frieda have, in Bill's words,
agreed to disagree. The
kitties mostly try to stay
out of each other's way,
and with a good size home,
that seems to work out ok.
Our thank yous go out to
Peggy and Bill for making
room n their hearts for
Frieda, and for giving Frieda
the permanent home she was
looking for!

Sunshine
was only in our foster care
for a week, when she went
to a great new home! She
now has a kitten sister
about her same age, named
Katie. Barb was looking
for a playmate for Katie,
when she pied Sunshine on
our website. Since both
of the kittens are orange
tiger girls, they make a
great pair. Barb says they
run and play together, and
then curl up for catnaps
together too. Sunshine's
favorite place is on the
top shelf of their jungle
gym. We're so happy that
Barb found our little Sunshine
and that they're all happy
together now!

Arwen
found a wonderful home where
she will be the center of
attention and receive lots
of lovin' from Larissa.
Larissa was looking for
a very special kitten to
fill an empty spot in her
life, and she fell in love
with little Arwen when she
came to visit Arwen and
her siblings. Arwen's unusual
brown coloring and stripes,
her cute little Michigan
paws, and her sweet affectionate
personality won Larissa
over. Larissa's mom, Paulette,
tells us that Arwen is doing
great, and that everyone
in the house adores her!
Thank you to Larissa and
Paulette for choosing our
sweetheart, Arwen!

After
kind of a shaky start in
life being the runt of the
litter, Digit has
now hit the jackpot! He's
gone to a super home, where
he's the center of attention
of a wonderful family of
four, and he even has a
doggie friend too. Lexa
tells us that the family
adores little Digit, with
his sweet loving personality,
and they're doing all they
can to shower him with love
and affection so that he
grows up strong and healthy.
Thank you to Lexa and family
for giving our little guy
so much love!

Ford
is a very lucky kitty to
have survived a fan belt
accident in late December
of '03. He found the purfect
home almost a month later
and now has two other kitties
and two dogs to play with.
Ford's new parents say he
has already made himself
comfortable and will sit
on their laps much of the
day. Thank you so much Sherrie
and Stephen for inviting
Ford into your home and
giving him forever warm
and cozy memories. Congrads
buddy on your new home!

Scouters
was adopted after being
in foster care for 8 months!
He was adopted by a very
nice MSU Vet student...what
could be better than having
a mom as a Vet? He will
be traveling back and forth
during the summers to Arizona
where Megan's home is...you
lucky sight seeing kitty!
I will miss you Scouters....but
I know you will love being
the center of attention
and your new mom said she
will buy you a kitty condo
- your favorite place to
nap! Love you always and
forever Scouters! Thank
you so much Megan for giving
Scout the home he has been
waiting for his whole life...he
can finally settle down
and live the rest of his
life happily ever after!

Franklin
found his forever
home! The thoughtful
daughter of a nice
couple found Franklin
for them. They came
to meet him and that
was it. Having only
3 legs did not stop
him one bit. He has
since become best
friends with his new
people's Golden Retriever.
Franklin's sweet little
face is now lighting
up this couple's life.
Best wishes to Franklin
in his new home.

Veronica
waited 10 months for her
forever home. But it was
worth the wait for her and
her new people. They say,
"She is so sweet and
I know God chose her for
me. She is truly my blessing.
. . . At first she missed
her friends and went around
looking for them but she
is enjoying her new role
as queen of her domain."
Veronica is a special little
lady and deserves all the
happiness her new people
plan to provide for her.

Rose
and Louise are two
very lucky girls! They got
to be good friends in their
foster home where they loved
to run and play together,
and then they got adopted
together! Rob and Deb wanted
to bring two kitties into
their home so that they
would have companionship
for themselves, and the
two kitties would have each
other. In our follow-up
call, Deb says that after
being shy and hiding for
the first couple of days,
Rose and Louise are now
making themselves at home
and things are working out
just great. She also reports
that their favorite thing
of course is the canned
food times! Thank you to
Deb and Rob, for adopting
our sweethearts, Rose and
Louise.

Misty
was adopted by her foster
mom's sister as a Christmas
gift for her niece, Shannon.
Yea - this means that her
foster mom gets to continue
to see her! Misty now has
an older kitty sister, Grace,
who was not too sure about
her at first. Grace did
some hissing and running
away at first, but is gradually
accepting Misty and is continuing
to let her get a little
closer over time. You can
see Misty, in the back,
with her sister Grace in
the picture here. The other
members of the family all
love Misty and she has fit
right into their home. Thank
you Shannon and Diane, for
taking Misty into your hearts!

Jennifer
adopted Owen
as a gift for her
boyfriend, whose cat
had recently passed
away. Jennifer tells
us that her boyfriend,
Seth, was just thrilled
with Owen, that he
loves the little guy
and that they are
getting along wonderfully!
Our thanks go out
to Jennifer and Seth
for giving Owen a
good, loving home!

Bryce,
now named Tyson, wasn't
in our foster care
for very long! His
new mom, Ashley, fell
in love with him right
away, and could hardly
wait till he was old
enough to go home
with her. Ashley tells
us that he is doing
great, her roommates
all love him, and
he is one spoiled
little guy! Thanks,
Ashley, for giving
this little kitten
a good home!

Pixel
went to a great home in
Portage MI, where he'll
soon be joined by another
kitten brother. At his new
home, Pixel is spoiled rotten
by his new mom and dad,
two sisters and a brother,
and is growing up healthy
and strong. Sherry tells
us that his antics keep
them quite entertained,
and they've definitely had
to "kitten proof"
parts of the house! Thank
you to Sherry and Dick for
taking Pixel into your home,
and we look forward to adopting
another kitten to you soon!

Garrett
was adopted by a young couple,
new to the Lansing area,
that have a new home and
wanted to begin their own
little family. Jennifer
and Kent were captivated
by Garrett's playfulness
and entertaining antics
when they came to visit
him in his foster home.
They tell us that he is
doing just wonderful in
his new home, and has more
toys to play with than most
kids have! Our thanks to
Jennifer and Kent for spoiling
and loving Garrett for us!

We
are just thrilled that Wendell
has found a perfect forever
home! Wendell needed very
much to be an only kitty,
since he is very unsure
of himself around other
cats and therefore gets
very defensive and tends
to hide most of the day.
So we were looking for a
very special home for him.
Mary adopted him as a companion
for her Dad who had been
alone, and now welcomed
the new addition to his
home. Mary tells us that
things are going well, and
that Wendell seems to love
being the center of attention.
Thank you to Mary for caring
enough to help both Wendell
and her dad!
|
| |
Alison
and Garrett adopted Princess
to add some more love to their
apartment and family. They
were captivated by how petite
Princess is, and they loved
her playfulness. During our
follow-up call Garrett tells
us that she is doing very
well in her new home, and
he and Alison just love having
her as part of their family!
We're very glad things worked
out so well for both Princess
and for Alison and Garrett. |

Jimmy
and Harry, who are now
Twix and Teddy, went to live
forever with their new family,
Rosh, Shirley, Kelly and Susie.
The brothers will have a human
sister and a kitty sister.
The family waited a long time
for them and are thrilled
to finally have them home.
It was wonderful they could
be adopted together and we
thank their new family! Update
email from their new family:
" Teddy and Twix are
doing well. Both have brought
such joy and laughter to our
home. They are soft, sweet
and loveable. Teddy is so
smart! I am working with him
on his ball fetching and catching
skills. Twix doesn't have
that ability but is by far
the more loving and affectionate
cat. Twix is also a trouble
maker and has already been
rescued from a few predicaments.
Their good nature is a testament
to your skills as a "cat
mom!" Love, Shirley." |

Sammy
was adopted by a really nice
family who live in the country.
She will be the only kitty
in the house and be spoiled
rotten! Sammy's new family
says she adapted very quickly
to her new surroundings...
plopped herself right down
in the middle of their living
room as if she had been there
forever. According to their
daughter, Sammy's favorite
snack is nutra grain bars!
Enjoy your new home Sammy!

Tyler
was rescued from Ingham County
Animal Control in June 2003
when he was just a tiny baby.
He was adopted out to a nice
family on October 12, 2003.
Tyler now has a new big kitty
sister and doggy brother.
In our follow up call, Tyler's
new mom told us that he is
settling in well and getting
to know his family. Thank
you Kayla and family, for
giving this special boy a
wonderful, forever home!

Sterling
was adopted into a home in
Plymouth with three other
kitty siblings. His new mom
writes in an email, "Sterling,
renamed "Sluggo Sterling
Movie Star," is getting
along WONDERFULLY with my
youngest cat, Tito. Tito is
2 years old, and he seems
to think I brought Sluggo
there for his amusement. He
started immediately cleaning
him, tackling him, and they
both slept together the first
night. The other two cats
aren't as thrilled as Tito,
but they seem to be tolerating
Sluggo. They will let him
come up and sniff, but if
he tries to touch or tackle
them, they will hiss at him
to keep him away. So thank
you for little Sluggo -- he's
certainly making life fun
for at least one of my kitties!"
Thank you, Joan, for giving
him a great home! |

|
Smoky
was adopted by a young couple
in East Lansing, and now has
a Springer Spaniel puppy brother
named Buster. Smoky's new
mom, Jennifer, reports that
Smoky, renamed Eddie, and
Buster are becoming the best
of friends and play and sleep
together. Since they are both
about 3-4 months of age, they
will be able to grow up together
and have a long happy life
together. Thank you to Jennifer
and Joel, we're glad this
little guy found such a great
home! |
| |
|
Heather
adopted little Dusty
to give her apartment some
extra life and love. Heather
writes to us, "I just
wanted to send you a quick
note and let you know that
Dusty seems to be getting
along really well. The first
day or so was an adjustment,
but he's happy and a lot of
fun. I've renamed him Romeo
since he's such a cuddle-bug.
I've told all my friends about
you and Kitties for Keeps.
A few of my friends were thinking
about getting a new cat, so
are my parents, so my mom
may give you a call."
Thank you to Heather for taking
Dusty/Romeo into her home,
and for the great recommendation!

Angel
had been in foster care for
nine months and so this very
affectionate, loving girl
had started to wonder if she
would EVER find her own home.
But Angel's very own Prince
Charming came along, saw her
picture and read her story
on the web, and decided they
would make a great pair! So
Angel is now the center of
attention and getting all
the lap time she could ever
desire. Thank you Dan, for
giving Angel the special home
she so deserves. |

Miranda
is one lucky kitty! After
spending many, many months
on her own, wandering the
streets of Lansing, she was
rescued by a kind lady and
was then taken into foster
care. After spending just
a few short weeks in foster
care, she was adopted out
to a wonderful home! She is
now an only child, which means
all of her new mom's love
and attention will be hers
and hers alone! Thank you,
Kay, for giving this beautiful,
special girl the second chance
she is so deserving of! News
from her new mom..."She
has gotten acclimated very
quickly. Because she was able
to detach the lining on the
box springs of my bed, that
was where she hid the first
night, and if she doesn't
want to be found goes there
immediately. She is very vocal,
especially when she wants
me to get out of bed or she
is hungry. She is presently
lying on her mat in the front
window. Yesterday she was
entertained by the blowing
leaves as she looked out the
window from her "perch."
I think we will become very
good friends in a very short
time. Yes, you were certainly
right about her being a "purr
box," but at 2:00 AM
with the paws kneading? Thank
you again for making it so
easy for me to have her." |

Sunny
(now Mr. Jingles) was a lucky
kitty, rescued from Ingham
County Animal Shelter ready
to go to be someone's Christmas
present. He will be the forever
companion for a grandma who
would like some company. Sunny
will be an only child but
will be the center of attention
and spoiled galore! Congrads
on your new home Mr. Jingles!

Lucky
Danielle was
adopted by a nice couple
who also adopted from
one of our foster parents
about a year ago. They
adopted two sisters
named Virginia and Georgia,
who are Persian mixes
also. Danielle joins
a very nice family and
now has kitty sisters
of her own as well as
human brothers and sisters.

Is
Billy laughing
because he got a forever
home for Christmas?
He has gone to live
with a human brother
named Tyler and 3
other kitties in his
new home. He jumped
right into his new
cat carrier when his
new mom came to pick
him up. We wish Billy
the best of luck in
his new home and thanks
to mom Heather for
adopting him.

Bella
Mia was adopted
by a very nice college
student, Amanda,
who wanted to make
her apartment into
a true home by having
a loving kitty friend
to come home to.
Bella MIA won over
Amanda's heart during
one of our adoption
shows with her cute
little face, big
bushy tail, and
when she purred
and purred in Amanda's
arms! Amanda then
filled up a whole
shopping cart with
food, a kitty bed
specially selected
by Bella MIA herself,
toys, and all kinds
of supplies for
Bella MIA During
our follow-up call,
Amanda said that
Bella MIA, now named
Cindy (short for
Cinderella), is
doing very well
and is happy and
spoiled. We're glad
this story had such
a happy ending.
Our thank you goes
out to Amanda!

Peter
was adopted by Roberta
and her daughter,
Darci. After having
been relinquished
by his previous family,
we wanted Peter to
have a very secure,
loving new home. I
think we found it!
Roberta writes in
an email, "He
prefers to sit beside
me when I'm watching
TV in bed. He does
like hugs, but prefers
to come and get them
instead of having
them thrust upon him.
Darci is the cat kisser.
He knows that. He
also seems to know
that I prefer to have
him lay beside me
and I will pet him
while reading or watching
TV. He seems to be
fine with that.
|
|
Darci calls him her
Handsome Boy, and
he seems to bask in
that. He is his own
person, when he wants
attention, he knows
he can come and get
it." Thank you,
Roberta, for taking
Peter into your home
and giving him the
love he deserves!

This
handsome buff tiger
boy was born in foster
care on May 5, 2003.
His mom, Lily, was
rescued from the animal
shelter just one week
before giving birth
to her babies. Cosmo
was adopted to a nice
family on September
27, 2003. He has a
new big kitty sister
and doggy brother.
In our follow up call,
Cosmo's new mom told
us that he is settling
in well and getting
to know his new family.
Thank you, Connie,
for giving this special
boy such a wonderful
forever home!!

Sophie
(foster name Marigold) was
born into foster care on
May 5, 2003. She was adopted
out to a loving family in
September of 2003. Thank
you Kathy for giving this
little girl such a wonderful
home! The following is from
Sophie's new family... ."Sophie
is doing great. She snuggles
with Alvin (kitty brother)
at night and they play and
sleep together and have
become great buds. She really
likes her food and LOVES
the cat napper I have at
the
window in my bedroom. I
have a fluffy blanket there
and she cuddles up and sleeps
there. I can tell you spent
a lot of time playing with
her and socializing her
because she isn't afraid
of people or animals.
She is a sassy little girl!
I love it. She isn't afraid
of anything. She goes to
Alvin to clean her ears!
It's the cutest. I gave
her a bath and she was really
cute in the tub. Alvin loves
water so he gladly joined
her for a bath and when
I dried her she fluffed
all out - she is even cuter.
She has taken over the house.
She is the ruler now and
Alvin follows her around.
She has taken over HIS window
bed, drinks HIS water, wants
HIS food and took HIS spot
on the couch. He doesn't
mind though. I think he
likes it."

Yin
was adopted to a family
that has another Siamese.
Now, Yin has another
cat brother, a human
brother, and a dog
brother. Not bad for
a kitty who was abandoned,
in a box, on a stranger's
front porch. Here
is a note from his
new Mom
"Hello
- just wanted to let
you know that Yin
is doing well, and
our other two pets
have already accepted
him. Well, the dog
did right away, but
at first, it was Yin
who did the hissing.
That only lasted the
evening. By Monday,
Yin was sniffing the
dog. Our other cat
was mad Saturday evening;
a little curious,
but still not happy
on Sunday; but by
Monday, he had accepted
him, and today they
are fine, touching
noses, and playing
alongside each other.
Yin is a little sweetie.
I'm really glad I
drove up to get him.
My husband loves him
too. Thank you."

This precious shorthaired
buff tiger girl, Aster,
was born in foster
care on May 5, 2003.
Her mom, Lily, was
rescued from the animal
shelter just one week
before giving birth
to her babies. Aster
was adopted to a really
nice couple in August
of 2003. In our follow
up calls, Aster's

sister. Thank you,

Betsy, Tommy
and Yang were
adopted into the same
family. It is a large
family. They will
have another cat sister
and 6 human brothers

lucky three will get
a lot of love! It
is so fortunate that
they can stay together
for the rest of their
lives. A big thank

Martha, now Sammy,
(for Samantha - pictured
on the right) was
adopted by a nice
couple who wanted
a kitten the same
age as their recently
adopted male kitten.
Martha now has a brother
to play with and a
wonderful new Mom
and Dad. Not bad for
a little girl who
was found wandering
around on her own
in downtown Lansing.
Here's a note from
her new family
" I just wanted
to let you know how
Martha was doing.
|
|
|
She has a new name - Sammy
for Samantha. Pete and Sammy
have not stopped playing
since she got here last
night. She never hid and
they are not hissing at
each other. I am soooo glad
she has come to live with
us. She is just adorable
and Pete loves her. They
follow each other everywhere.
Sammy is still eating very
well. She is very loving.
Thanks again for bringing
such a little light into
our lives!"
