We are a newly formed non profit organization for the purpose of helping our community and surrounding area find homes for lost abandoned and sometimes unwanted dogs and cats. The "organization" is run by myself and my wife who started a boarding kennel 13 years ago. Now we board and save dogs, we started saving cats but became overwhelmed and had to refer cats elsewhere, we have 13 cats now that were rescued and are living here. The cat population needs desperate attention especially to get people to Spay and Neuter their pets. We see many more cats and dogs that need help than we could possibly care for so we help the ones we can, offer assistance and suggest possibilities to care for unwanted and stray dogs and cats. We now have thirty dog in our care, eight in our house that we will keep, ten in the garage area that we will probably keep and another eight in the kennel area some we will have to keep and some we will find homes for. Then we have our boarders which is how we make our money to pay bills and feed and care for the rescued animals. It is a full time job never a day off but we love doing it. We do get some donations from customers and animal lovers that know about us, we urge every one to give to your local shelter or national organization. What is of great need is to Spay and Neuter your pet especially if it is an outdoor dog or cat. There are MILLIONS of dogs and cats euthanized in the U.S. every year. Our County took in over 7000 (seven thousand) animal last year, there are 23 counties in our State and Maryland is a small state, times 50 states that is over 8 million animals in shelters just in government facilities. We are a no kill organization and many small and non profit organizations are, we need your help please give to your favorite animal rescue and help in spaying or neutering you dog and cats.
