Happy Tail #2: "Patsy"

One day a nice lady was driving on the highway and she saw a dog on the side of the road.  The dog was white and very thin.  The nice lady took the dog to the vet and put her in a kennel.  She named the skinny dog Patsy.  The nice lady had a dog who was once like Patsy -- she wanted to help Patsy like someone had helped her dog.

Patsy got food, medicine and a warm place to sleep.  Pretty soon she looked very beautiful, like this picture below.  But we couldn't find her a new home.  People kept asking "What breed is that?" and saying that Patsy would probably be hard to manage because she was so big and strong.  We kept on telling her that we would find her a new home, with someone who would be just crazy about her and where she would fit in just fine.

One day, a nice couple saw Patsy's picture on the Internet.  They thought Patsy reminded them a lot of their dog, Gandalf.  That's Gandalf in the picture below.  (We bet you thought it was Patsy, huh?)

Patsy's new family was very excited and were very patient while we found someone to do the home visit.  Finally, the day arrived.  Patsy ran up to her new dad as if she had known him all her life!

After a few conversations with her new brother Gandalf, he and Patsy started to become friends.

Patsy and her new family drove home.  Patsy and Gandalf slept all the way on the long ride home.  When they got home, they played and played and played.

And they all lived happily ever after.
