Sponsor a Dog -- Become A DogFather!
Are you the type who would adopt them all if you could? Well,
this is a way to help a dog or cat on this site without setting up your own
menagerie. For a small donation ($20.00), we will send a "DogFather certificate"
making the person you designate (or you) an honorary dogfather. The money
we raise will go to paying for food and vetting for the dogs on our site,
and ones who haven't been listed yet (contact us if you'd like to go that
route).
Here's what you get as an "Honorary Dogfather":
- Full color certificate making recipient an honorary Dogfather
- Individual biography and photo of the sponsored dog (OF YOUR CHOICE)
- Customized notecard to write a personalized message to the recipient
- Letter of thanks from our organization
- Postage and an envelope if you want to send out the packet yourself
- Listing on the Web site thanking the recipient for his or her kindness
and naming the recipient as "Honorary Dogfather" (optional)
If you are interested, please send an email to
HedgesvilleHound@aol.com
and we'll start the (simple) process. For samples of our materials, visit

.It's too late for Father's day, but any time is a good time to sponsor
a worthy dog.
Thanks to the following DogFathers, DogMothers and DogPeople!
- Andy Steenberge became Buddy's Dogfather as a Valentine's gift
from Julie and Bailey. Bailey was one of the Lolli-pups, and is the spitting
image of her real dog father, Buddy.
- Karyn C. -- Whose kindness to Jack when he was only known as "498"
helped to put him on the way to a wonderful new home.Jack has been adopted!
- Dimples -- Whose donation will help the Boston Beans, some puppies
who have had a rough time of it lately.ALl of the Beans have been adopted!
- Tillis H. Brown -- cat lover extraordinaire, whose donation benefited
Minnie and Sukie. Minnie and Sukie have taken over their foster's home and
aren't leaving!
- Eric Van Dyke, who became a human father this year and whose donation
will benefit Clarence and Blue. Blue has recently been adopted!
- Dr. Robin Townsend -- his donation benefited Apollo (who has now
been adopted, Teddy Boy (who has been adopted!) and Rags (still not ready
for adoption quite yet, but the medical care will get him a lot closer.
- Debra Teach -- whose donation benefited Minnie, the former scaredy-cat,
and Shelley, who was recently adopted.
- Paige -- whose donation will benefit Thelma Lou, one of the Mayberry
puppies. Thelma Lou has been adopted!
- Jason -- whose donation will benefit Shadow, a preposterous-looking
Basset/Collie mix who is available through Basset Rescue. Shadow has been
adopted!
- Erich -- whose donation will benefit Crazy Chester, a "work in
progress" who isn't ready for adoption yet, but still needs food and medical
care.
- Zippy -- whose donation will help Apollo and Teddy Boy, two of
our most charming guys. Apollo has been adopted! Teddy has been adopted! Thanks,
DogFather!
- Jeff B. -- who'll help Diego, the little pup who needs a chance!
Diego has found a home!
- Vic -- who'll help Rags, a dashingly handsome, but somewhat frightened
terrier who isn't quite ready for adoption yet. Vic's donation went toward
neutering Rags as part of the preparation process for adoption.
- Steve B. -- whose donation will go to feed the delicate and beautiful
Hayley, a sensitive puppy who's blossoming in foster care. Hayley has been
adopted!
- Gene W. -- whose donation will go to feed the loveable Jericho
as he waits to get the home he has always wished for. Jericho has been adopted!
- Joyce W. -- whose donation will go toward neutering Skye, one of
our sweetest dogs, but saddest cases, because he's so frightened. Joyce is
our first DogMother, and since we're looking for someone who'll give Skye
the kind of unconditional love and encouragement we associate with moms, this
couldn't be more appropriate.
- Laurie M. -- whose donation will go toward medical care for Skye,
who is improving every day thanks to everyone's kindness.
- Everett Blue -- whose donation will go toward L'il Blue, appropriately
enough!L'il Blue has been adopted!
- Cheryl Peppel, whose dog Freeway, whom she loves very much, is
a double for Buddy, and who has chosen to sponsor Buddy.
