First of all, as discussed earlier, we assist kitties without advocates...strays, toms, feral, abandoned, as well as abused cats. We do not take owner give-ups. Please contact the SPCA for assistance and/or place an ad in the paper to help place your cat if you are an owner doing a give-up. We exist to protect and give a chance to those kitties that wouldn't normally be considered adoptable thru the SPCA and/or Animal Control. Animals without advocates. You know, the kind found in dumpsters, side of the road, left in apartments after folks move...those kind. Animals in need of us to assist them to find a home. Because we are a no-kill shelter, we require a donation from you toward the cost of the medical
expenses we will incur to get the kitty
you are seeking assistance for adopted. All animals in our shelter are
sponsored by who found them and brought them to us. Please expect to donate a minimum of $60 for a female and $45 for a male. This will get them altered, and their
rabies/distemper shots, which then makes them immediately adoptable! We match
your efforts by additionally testing them for FIV and Feline Leukemia, de-worm,
de-mite, and de-flea them. If they are already altered, these fees will go
toward covering their room and board during their stay with us. There may be
times that we are temporarily full or have a waiting list to get in. Please
check back in with us periodically . What we need from you is for you to start
working with the kitty to socialize it so that someone would want to adopt it!
Finally, please make sure that if you have found an abandoned kitty that you
take advantage of the newspaper. Most of the localpapers run a FOUND ad for one
day for free.
