It seems that it is kitten season all year long to us rescuers, but this is truly the heaviest time. We need families and/or singles that can commit 3-4 weeks, depending on the age of the kittens when you get them, of providing space in your home, food, and handling/playing with the kittens and the mom if we have her. We have kittens that come in sometimes that have been abandoned by their moms, so these scenarios need a bit more work. When we have the mom's really all you have
to do is feed/clean/play. If you don't have the mom, there may be some
bottle feeding involved. In all cases, our goal in fostering is to produce a
fun-loving kitten that will be super-adoptable. This process also reduces the
workload of our field rescuers who need to continue to be in the field versus
playing with the kittens. This is fun, but also
time consuming with all the
other tasks at hand. So, for you lucky folks that can participate in the rescue
