Adoption Process
Once you fill out an adoption form and select a kitty, we will discuss all the variables to consider. Adoption forms are evaluated thoroughly, including getting a reference from a vet that you use/or will use. We deliver our cats to your home, which accomplishes two things...keeps you from getting a kitty on impulse, and allows for us to make sure our cats are going into an acceptable environment. Our cats are adopted out for a donation fee as follows: Kittens: $115.00 per kitten/$200.00 for two. Adult Cats: $95 per cat/$180 for two. 2.   This includes/covers the costs for spay/neuter, rabies (if eligible), distemper, de-worming, de-miting, de-fleaing, and assures you that your kitty has been through a quarantined period with us so that it is as healthy as possible for you BEFORE you get it home. We spay/neuter the cats ahead of time. All our cats are tested for FIV and FELV as well.  We look forward to working WITH you! meow! Don't forget, we have special needs cats too that are seeking homes were they can be in a single-cat only and indoor only home. If you are interested in special needs situations, please advise us! Please note, that unless an approved exception, (like you live on a 10 acre farm), our cats are adopted as indoor-only cats.

When you are at the shelter and choose a kitty,  in order for us to consider it a kitty with a contract and stop accepting applications,  you will need to write a check for the kitty or kitties.  We don't cash the check until day of delivery,  Without a check, the kitty continues to be available for adoption and all applications will continue to be considered.   We never place a cat based on first come first server basis, but select the best situation for the kitty of all the contracts.    Therefore, until you have a check on file, on behalf of the kitty, we continue our charter to find them a home!  If you don't have your checkbook with you at the shelter, you can mail it to us.  If you prefer to do via credit card, then you can go online on our homepage and pay via PayPal.   The key is not to pay for a kitty until you know in your heart you are sure! 

Finally, as you know, we are a volunteer organization and the costs for all that we do are just barely covered by the adoption fee.  Feel free to donate just a little more and it goes a long way!  We can feed the whole shelter for 2 days with just an extra $12!... a lot of cats will thank you!
